Modern Loft Apartment Comfortably Sleeps 6-7, With 3 Bedrooms And 2 Bathrooms.

This modern loft apartment is located just a 7-8 minute walk to the Sunnegga departure station and bus departure point and 10 minutes to the town centre and Gornergrat station.

It is one of two identical apartments in the same building and is in a quiet residential area with good local amenities (take-away and restaurants).

The loft apartment (lift) comfortably sleeps 6-7 people and is comprised of two double bedrooms (one of which separates to make a twin) and a third bedroom with three beds. All of the bedrooms are south facing with a view of the Matterhorn and two of them have balconies. Each bedroom has an alarm clock with built in iPod docking station.

There are two bathrooms, one with a double bath with shower and separate shower head, a double wash basin and WC. The second one has a powerful massage shower with double wash basin and WC. The spacious bathrooms are both equipped with hair dryers.

The kitchen is very spacious and open plan with all modern appliances (Steamer, microwave, dishwasher, raclette and fondue, and a Delizio coffee machine). There is ample work space with its central cooking area. There is a washing machine and dryer available for communal use in the building.

Due to its' open plan design the kitchen is conveniently located close to the dining area. The dining table comfortably seats 8 people and leads onto the south facing balcony.

The lounge area is light and comfortable with luxurious modern furnishings. It also leads onto the south facing balcony with magnificent views of the Matterhorn and surrounding mountains. The wood burning fireplace makes it the perfect retreat for cosy nights in. The lounge is equipped with a plasma television with multi lingual channels including several English TV channels (BBC and ITV), DVD player, CD/ radio/ i-Pod docking station and free wireless internet connection.

Haus Powdersnow Loft is above Powdersnow 3 in the same building, making them ideal for a larger group or for more than one family that are travelling together but do not necessarily want to stay together.

Care has been taken with all of the apartments to ensure that they are equipped so that they are attractive but are practical and friendly for all, making them ideal for friends and families alike. Good quality furnishings have been used but there are no 'irreplaceable' antiques to worry about if you have small children.

A welcome pack is provided with fresh fruit, local wine, milk, fresh flowers and a variety of tea and coffee.

Maps are provided along with extensive information regarding the apartment and Zermatt itself.

Guests are welcomed on arrival by a multi-lingual representative offering help, advise and information about the resort and to accompany them to the apartment by taxi.

Zermatt is located 4 1/2 hours by train with only one change from all the main airports, Geneva, Zurich and Milan. Easy train connections from Geneva and Zurich (train station in the airport) and a possibility to obtain reduced rate train tickets if purchased before entering Switzerland (we can advise on this). Taxi transfers available from all airports (we can organise this for you).

Zermatt is a car free village so if travelling by car you can only drive as far as Tasch. You can leave your car in the main car park or one of the garages and travel the last 10 minutes by train (trains run every 20 minutes) or taxi. Electro taxis are available at the train station to take you to your accommodation.

The car free resort of Zermatt is situated at the foot of the Matterhorn in Switzerland and offers access to a ski area of over 400km, connected to Cervinia in Italy. The village is situated at 1560m and with the highest cable car at 3888m it ensures excellent skiing in the winter and great glacier skiing in the summer. A climbers and hikers paradise with 38 peaks over four thousand metres and breath taking views, Zermatt has something to suit everyone. Activities available include skiing and snowboarding, heli skiing, winter hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoe walking, sledging, ice skating, ice climbing, ski touring, swimming (indoor swimming pools), wellness centres, paragliding and helicopter sightseeing tours. In summer time there is the Forest Fun Park, tennis, mountain biking and golf (15 minutes away by train).

A visit to the new Matterhorn Alpine museum is a must.

With its' superb transportation system, Switzerland is an ideal place from which to explore in any direction. Whether travelling on foot or by rail, bus or car you will be surrounded by spectacular views. A trip not to be missed is the Glacier Express which links Zermatt and St. Moritz by rail, which passes through 91 tunnels and crosses nearly 300 bridges.

Premium weeks are Christmas, New Year and school holidays. During winter we only take weekly booking with Saturday changeovers. During summer, off-season and on last minute bookings, special offers and short breaks (min 3 days) are available. A surcharge of CHF 150 will be applied.
