Luxury Waterfront home in Grapeview, private beach, kayaks and so much more!

Our property is located in Grapeview Washington on Pickering Passage. The southern part of the Sound is incredibly peaceful and far less crowded. We are about 1.5 hours from Seattle making a perfect get away. You enter through a mature lush forest that leads to our private driveway that opens up to our waterfront home that is situated just above the water. A staircase will lead you down to the bulkhead that you can stage all your beach activities and is another great place to hangout. Enjoy Kayaking, fishing and walks along the beach. The views are majestic and the area is secluded and private. Located less than an hour from amazing hiking trails and the edge of the Olympic National Forest.

The property is truly unique and set in nature with the Sound on one side and acres of mature forest on the other. This property is ideal for people seeking a retreat and will respect nature and the environment. It is a quiet and peaceful place that offers just enough modern amenities. The master bedroom and two guest bedrooms have queen beds and in the fourth room we have a twin over full bunk bed. There is a full bathroom on each level of the home. The top floor has a new spacious deck for outdoor entertaining, newer BBQ and spectacular views and amazing wildlife. We have a private well that provides natures best water, 4k TV, Directv, Blueray disk player, shuffle board, books and so much more to make your trip enjoyable. We have 2 single person sit-in kayaks and 1 two person sit on top kayak available for you to use. We are also near Fair Harbor Marina and venue. If you have a boat, we have our own mooring ball located off our beach that can support up to a 30ft boat.

Because this is our personal family vacation home, we installed higher quality furnishings and decor. The entire lower level of the house has been completely renovated. We have installed quality furniture, beds, linens, newer appliances and kayaks. We have added an AC and heating system to keep you comfortable no matter the weather. In the main living room we have a wood burning fireplace that is perfect for those times when it is chilly.

This is a perfect place to enjoy family, cook, walks in the forest or on the beach, and keeping an eye out for bald eagles, whales that pass through the channel and water sports. We have recently added high speed internet and an additional TV for streaming in the upstairs master.

This a sublime location. Quiet and peaceful. We loved reading walking. Taking the ferry to Seattle from Bremerton and sight seeing. There are a few small lakes nearby. Whales and birds visited us. Perfect spot for multi generational getaway.

Why leave?

The perfect spot to come and stay awhile. Check in is super easy and the host; Chris- is super responsive. This was our second time back and this time we stayed longer and brought our family. Never could tire of the view if i tried

Beautiful views, charming place with everything we needed. We just wanted to spend some time together, 3 generations. Eat, drink, play games and enjoy the view. The young ones spent time kayaking and paddle boarding while we cheered them on from above. Very clean, great seating indoors and out. Owners are very responsive.

AMAZING View and GREAT house

This is a spectacular property that couldn’t be more relaxing— from serene mornings watching seals, herons, and cormorants in the water and deer in the yard, to dinners on the deck overlooking beautiful Puget Sound. The house has everything needed for a comfortable stay including comfy beds, a very well appointed kitchen, and plenty of choices for land and water activities. The care the owners have put into the furnishings, decor, and comfort of their guests is exceptional. All communication with Chris was prompt, courteous, and thorough. I look forward to staying again!

A perfect Sound getaway

After driving down a quiet forested road you are greeted by this perfectly welcoming home (and for us- also a pod of orcas right out front) This house feels like a family friend is letting you stay a couple nights with a ton of backup supplies and plenty of bedrooms to spread out. But really it’s being outside That is the real icing on the cake. Views and wildlife for daysssss

Total Relaxation

This was the best rental so far that we have done. Beautiful deck with view. We sat out every morning for coffee and every evening for wine and cards. Everywhere you sit whether upstairs or downstairs you have a beautiful view. Chris the owner was very accommodating with check in and check out. The kitchen is one of the best stocked that we have been in. Plenty of comfortable seating for everyone. We saw harbor seals on two different occasions and on our last day there was a pod of Orcas that swam by. My nephew loves everything about the ocean and he was super excited to be able to see them. We didn't want to leave! We would have loved to stay longer.

Amazing property and hosts

This property exceeded my expectations. The views were absolutely fantastic. You are right on the ocean (The puget sound). The bedrooms all had full beds and one single bunk with a full. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need. Including oil and spices. Which is huge because the nearest store was about 15-20 minutes away. The house faces the forest on one side and the ocean on another. Our Host was so friendly and let us reach out about anything we needed. Very responsive and asking us how check in was and how the stay was going. Would give this property 12 stars if I could. You should definitely stay here!

Great vacation property

Great location and view…peaceful and quiet location. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck with views of the sound. Saw eagles, seals and even a pod of orca one day. Great communication from the owner.

Great getaway to celebrate mom's birthday!

We had a wonderful stay, the property and views are beautiful. Very peaceful! We had everything we needed, including comfortable beds!!! Great House!

It was great to get away and spend 6 days at this house. The views from the deck are amazing. We kayaked, fished, did some swimming, walked on the beach, and took morning walks in the neighborhood. Communication with Chris was excellent. He responds quickly. This is their family home, and it has that feel. Thnak you for sharing with us!

Moving and Wedded Bliss

After spending three days moving my daughter to Seattle then jumping right in to final details for my son’s wedding to say I needed someplace to relax is an understatement. But I got that when I arrived at Chris’s remarkable home. The views were to die for for this desert family and the home hit every need on our list. We were close to the wedding venue and yet still far enough from the city. My youngest son and his girlfriend enjoyed kayaking with the seals. What an awesome experience to be able to walk to the water. My husband enjoyed the booklet Chris left with information on the high and low tides. I enjoyed the sea. I can definitely recommend this property for relaxation and fun. Never before has attending a wedding and helping someone move been so wonderful. You gave us the opportunity to stay near the water which is always where I want to be and be close to our family in Washington. Thank you Chris

Million dollar view

We had a wonderful stay with our grandsons. The house looks like a 60’s house from the outside but has a.comfortable beach house feel on the inside. The view is breathtaking and the activity on the water is always entertaining. This home is equipped with everything you would need. Comfortable beds and nicely furnished. The kitchen has new appliances but the ability to function efficiently is limited. Simple meals recommended and there’s always Bubba’s Burgers.

Convenient for a family reunion

The location was out a ways from Allyn where we usually center our July family reunions to coincide with the Allyn Days weekend, but convenient enough and the waterway views from the house were great. We didn’t make use of the kayaks or other water items, but the miniature shuffle board and the TV viewing on the big screen were used a lot. It is a quiet location and great for a relaxing stay.

Family Vacation 2019

Our family of 6 adults and 2 children stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our time. The home is very comfortable and the view amazing! It was too cool for us Southerners to make use of the kayaks but we had fun walking the beach and looking for crabs with our 3 year old grandson who would catch and release a few daily. We saw seals and eagles most days. The only drawback for us was the railing on the deck was spaced too far apart for us to allow our 1 year old granddaughter down to roam freely but was easily fixed by returning indoors when she was tired of being held. The owner was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely recommend this property.

It is a very homey place with amazing view

Everything is as advertised! The place is very roomy and spacious with amazing view. It has all the kitchen equipment needed for cooking. I love the dock for fishing and just relaxing. Our family agreed that we would return again.

Our primary home is in San Diego CA. We are very fortunate to be able to keep this property in our family, built by our grandfather in the early 60s. Over the past few years we continued to enhance and improve the property. We are sharing this property with guests so we can continue to keep it in our family.

The setting of this property is just magical! Sitting just above the water of Pickering Pass, the views are incredible and the rural area is of mature forest opening to the water. Walk down our staircase to our private bulkhead and entrance to our private beach.
