This property and the lake it sits on are perfect for children and families to enjoy. When my wife and I rebuilt in 2017, we specifically designed the house with this goal in mind. The property sits on a hill, enhancing the views, and its southwest exposure means the sun dances off the lake every sunset. Our beach is primarily soft white sand with a long, gradual entrance to the water, making it ideal for kids to play and swim.
We provide a 40-foot dock with an 8"x12" platform at the end, along with umbrellas, chairs, paddleboards, kayaks, lifejackets, and water toys for you to enjoy. The house looks like a small cabin from the road but has a large walkout basement facing the lake. With 9-foot ceilings throughout, a screened-in porch, a deck, and huge windows and doors, the house brings the outside in.
The house features two master bedrooms, one on each floor, two additional bedrooms, and a total of 3.5 bathrooms, offering a spacious, open feel. It is located on a quiet private dirt road with plenty of places for kids to ride bikes, run around, and play when they are not in the water. Although the home is 9 miles from the nearest town, it is centrally located, providing easy access to most of what Wisconsin has to offer regardless of the season. Enjoy swimming, boating and fishing in the summer. Take in the fall colors or use it as a base camp for hunting. In the winter, the lake offers ice fishing and snowmobiling and is not far from several ski resorts. With its indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit views and blankets, this place has something to offer in every season.
