Beautiful spot with a one hour drive to Acadia. Plenty of space with gorgeous view. Being able to walk to Moose Point State Park was wonderful.

We adore The Wild Rose. It's an ideal location, on the water, exactly as described. Have been twice already. The kitchen table and bedroom situation is tight for six people but we considered it cozy. Huge living room and a big table outside. The loft bedroom is special, but could be challenging if one needs to use the restroom at night. Mostly it was just the two of us and we can't say enough good! It's wonderful. Wish our dog could give a review! He was ecstatic.

We had a great experience staying here. The property has an amazing view of Penobscot Bay and a huge back lawn for our dog to run around. It felt very private--no noise from neighbors. We were a short walk from Moosepoint State Park.The cottage is well furnished, the kitchen well-equipped and the beds comfortable. My wife and I found the experience very relaxing. It would be great for two couples or a family with bedrooms on opposite sides of the cottage.I can't think of anything to complain about! I would highly recommend!

This place was so adorable. My two adult children and I (and my little dog!) truly enjoyed our time here. We could not believe it when we first arrived, and we walked out back in the dark and could hear the waves. It was literally right there! No awkward, dangerous trail or wooded path to walk down to access the beach. The three of us spent every morning combing the shore for sea glass. An added plus was an incredible view of the stars and Milky Way. My kids brought a blanket and spent most evenings stargazing. The bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable, and I loved sleeping with the windows open and hearing the waves,seabirds, and the boats throughout the night. The little kitchen dinette is great for eating together and provides a wonderful view of the water. There’s plenty of seating in the living room, and literally every room in the house has an amazing view. The TV in the master bedroom was an awesome way to wind down after our busy days of shopping and sightseeing.The location is incredible too! Being able to hop down to Belfast within 10 minutes is convenient and wonderful. If you’re looking for a place to unwind and enjoy the true essence of Maine, this is it. We hope to stay again.

Loved our stay at Wild Rose! Home was fully appointed to meet all our needs, was charming and cozy. We loved being there spending time on the deck, in the yard, and on the beach. Great mid coast location for day trips!

The place was wonderful. Fireplace was an added delight. My dog loved the back yard and the ocean walks. The space worked well for 2 creatives. Everything was just right.

Wonderful cottage right on the bay. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed and it was very clean. The loft looked small in pictures but it was a nice size and not cramped. There was plenty of room.for our family of 5 and our dog.

The house was clean and well stocked! It was perfect for our family of 5. The location makes it easy to get to Bar Harvor up north and all the way down to Rockland. We loved having access to the beach! The house is on a private drive in a quiet area making our stay very comfortable and relaxing. Thank you for opening your home to us!

We adore this home. It was so warm and whimsical and was literally on the sea. Great location!! The loft bed with stairs was a sweet space but wouldn't work for less agile people or those unwilling to share the other guest room bath which is accessed through that other bedroom. Our adult children had no problem with it.

Another Great Year of Stay

This is our 2nd stay & again, able to create long lasting memories. Albeit the wifi or cable is the reason for the trip, at night it would be nice if the access/reception was better. We look forward to another stay in 2022.

Wonderful!

We had such a wonderful vacation here. Each bedroom has a view of the ocean. The cottage was quaint, friendly, and private. We were right off of Route 1 for convenience, but far enough off the road that we couldn't hear road noise. Moose Point State Park was a close walk from the cottage and we walked over almost every day.

There are no words for the view and experience at this home! Right on the water with easy access to kayaking (with kayaks and life jackets provided) and exploring the shore. The yard was immense with lots of room for our little dog to run around (he was pretty sad to come back home to his tiny yard). The backyard at night is an excellent place for star gazing as there is very little light pollution in the area. We were visiting during the Perseids meteor shower and got to see an amazing show in the sky! The house itself is cute and well stocked with anything you could think of - lobster pots, bug spray, laundry detergent, toilet paper...you name it. The beds were comfortable. We had a few small issues but the owner was super fast with replies and getting things fixed and two of the issues were completely out of his control. A line fell blocking the driveway but Larry had someone out to clear it within an hour. That line was the internet so that was out for two days but again, Larry was very quick in getting in touch with the company to get it fixed. We did book the house thinking there were five beds and got there to see there were only 4. We reached out to Larry and he did apologize and mentioned that there was a glitch in the VRBO setup. It ended up fine and honestly we probably wouldn't have booked the house if we thought there were only 4 beds so I am glad for the mishap so that we could experience the amazingness that was this home! We hope to be back next year!!

Cute Cottage by the Sea TWO living areas

It was sad to leave Wild Rose Cottage. We enjoyed our daily walks along the ocean (it is rocky, wear water shoes). Or sitting at the end of the day at the Adirondack Chairs, watching the fishing boats and kayakers pass by. Our group consisted of mostly myself and my spouse, but had the adult son, wife and 3yo come for a few days out of 2 weeks. You will not be disappointed.

Florida Cousins Getaway

The home was perfect for our week long stay. We enjoyed driving north snd south along the coast, leaf peeping and eating lobster! We ate breakfast at home and the other meals out. Only suggestion would be updating coffee pot… very slow to brew. Guests be sure to include your visit to Ft Knox observatory, great views ! We enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

Peaceful and great water view

Rose Cottage fully lived up to the online description. It's in a great setting, quiet with a stunning water view. Great sleeping in the cool sea air. Kitchen is pretty well equipped as short-term rentals go, so you can cook meals there. The nearby town of Belfast offers everything you need by way of shopping and restaurants. Owner was prompt and helpful in getting one minor problem (empty propane tanks) resolved.

Great Location, Super View

Great location with a super view. Communication with the owner and property manager, Wesley, was superior. We stayed during Hurricane/tropical storm Lee and had numerous communications with Wesley concerning potential problems. We very much enjoyed our stay at Wild Rose. It is an interesting and unique property.

Oceanfront property in Searsport

It was a cozy cottage with anything you needed. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fireplace was not functional. I think that probably the pilot light was just out and we just did not take the time to call. I was very nice being able to walk the shore to the state park.

Relaxing Getaway

The cottage is stunning! It's like a fairytale or enchanted cottage. The description of the house is exact. The view of the ocean was great, got to see harbor seals several times, juvenile bald eagles, there were wild turkeys that came across the yard. The lobster boats went by quite a few times, and it was fun to watch the fisherman net fishing. I have never had a more relaxing vacation! I literally have no complaints about this house, it was perfect!
