The Birdie welcomes you for luxurious stays, located just outside of the city centre. Enjoy the convenience of a short journey into town or embrace the lovely natural settings of the stray. The property boasts a large open plan living area, ideal for spending time entertaining. The kitchen is fully fitted modern, sure to be any cooks dream with a large breakfast bar to compliment it. Cooking up a family feast just wouldn't be a chore here, with friends gathered around the breakfast bar having a pre-dinner drink, or family breakfasts creating memories around the large dining table, which looks out through the bifold doors onto the garden. Summer nights spent in the sun around the outdoor seating are yet another way to revel in this truly stunning property.

No detail has been spared throughout the property, which is complete with a utility area and a downstairs WC. Moving upstairs, the thoughtfully designed space comprises 3 bedrooms, two of which boast a super king bed and ample space for storing clothes, and the final bedroom includes a single bed with a trundle underneath. Furry friends are welcome to join the fun. The main bathroom, in true keeping with the rest of the property, has a large walk-in shower, perfect to relax in after a long day!

It is the very best place to all get together and catch up on the day's adventures and plan the rest of your time in York.

Family Stay in York

The Birdie was the perfect stay for a family of 6 (2 adults, 3 teens and family dog!) The kitchen and dining area was fabulous and well equipped, the lounge was comfortable and the garden was great, we where lucky with the weather and managed to eat in the garden on both evenings. The Birdie is within perfect walking distance of the city of York - which meant we could leave the car at the house and explore on foot. I would recommend staying here and would definitely come back!

A wonderful home to enjoy.

We had a fabulous family weekend in The Birdie. 4 adults and 2 toddlers. Very well equipped for us all to eat in. Fantastic enclosed garden for the kids to run around in and lovely to see the golfers playing at the bottom of the garden. Very comfortable beds and masses of hot water. Lots of extras to make up easy picnics etc. and enough space for 2 cars off street. Would definitely be back.

Beautiful house in a very convenient location for York centre

Super location for walking or getting the No 9 bus from the next road (every 12 minutes) into the centre of York. Very spacious property with super comfy huge beds in both double rooms. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the whole of the house and the lovely shower room. The garden backing onto the golf course was great outside space, much appreciated by us and the dogs. Bit of road noise from the main road the other side of the course, and we would have appreciated fans or air con as, with all the glass, it can get very warm. I’d also say, although it states a car can go in the garage, it would have to be extremely small. Overall a beautiful house, clean, comfy and a great location for visiting York and forgetting about the car.

Following your comments about the heat in the kitchen area due to the large bi-fold doors, we’ve now added two tall tower fans to improve comfort. We've also updated the property details to remove the note about parking in the garage space as there is plenty of parking available in front of the property and on the gravel area for guests to use. A Great House in a Quiet Spot

We had a wonderful week at The Birdie. The house was clean, light and spacious with plenty of equipment available to use. The fans were a great addition. Enjoyed the shower every day and sitting at the breakfast bar to eat or do my puzzle. Parking was good for 2 largish vehicles and the location was very quiet and well cared for. Sitting in the garden was lovely, listening to people playing golf and avoiding the apples falling off the tree! Our dog loved it. It was a very private garden and we enjoyed the time we sat out there. Again, lots of space. The beds were huge and very comfortable and there was plenty of storage. The walk into York City Centre took 20 minutes and is flat and accessible to all. York has an abundance of pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as so much history. We are used to having more information about recycling collection days and felt that more general information may have been helpful, although a folder with basic information was at the house. We would certainly recommend the house for a holiday and hope to return in the near future.

Great Stay at 'The Birdie'

We booked this property as our daughter was graduating and needed a comfortable place to stay - it did not disappoint! The location is in a nice quiet cul de sac with ample parking and only took about 20 min walk to get to the city centre. The Asda a few mins drive down the road was perfect to stock up on all the essentials on our arrival. The garden backs onto a golf course so there was no noise/disruption other than the very distant sound of traffic the other side of the golf course. Enjoyed sitting watching the birds in the garden. On arrival the house was very clean and comfortable. Having only one shower meant a bit of pre-planning amongst us to all get ready but did not cause any issue. The lounge/kitchen/diner/reception are very spacious, light and airy. A fan might come in handy as during summer the kitchen can get quite hot with the big bi-fold doors/windows. The beds were comfortable - we all slept well. In all we had a lovely stay and would definitely come back again. Stays York are very responsive to any questions you may have. Many thanks!
