Immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of this exceptional historic colonial house located in the vibrant center of Mérida, Yucatán. Our home, published in Architectural Digest, combines the charm of traditional architecture with all modern comforts, creating the perfect oasis for your stay.

As you enter through the impressive foyer, you'll be greeted by an open space that integrates the kitchen, dining, and extensive living areas, all with stunning views of the garden and pool. This space is ideal for relaxing and enjoying the lush greenery surrounding you. The garden, has a refreshing pool and is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the warm Yucatán sun.

Head up to the terrace on the top of the house to enjoy views of the garden and pool a perfect spot for sunbathing during the day or enjoying a drink under the stars at night.

The home has 3 spacious air conditioned bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, multiple lounge areas ,air conditioned TV room, and laundry room. Weekly house cleaning, and change of linens is provided. The Pool is heated for winter months. Just a few steps from the house, you'll find a wide variety of restaurants and tourist attractions that will allow you to discover the best of Mérida. While the house is spacious we will host a maximum of 4 guests. Private parking is available.

Enjoy an authentic and relaxing experience in our charming Oasis, a true retreat in the heart of Mérida. Special rates for longer stays are available upon request.

From the moment we walked through the doors we were in awe of this special place and felt so fortunate to be here. Our host has lovingly and beautifully restored this colonial gem, making it modern and well-appointed, while maintaining the integrity her history. A gorgeous haven and home base for exploring vibrant Merida. Everything is walkable. But you may not want to leave. The verdant courtyard is magical. The pool is just delightful. The bed so comfortable. The entire stay was exceptional. We were greeted by kind Adrian who made us feel so welcome. Cosmos next door serves a delicious brunch. This truly a magical place. If you have the opportunity to stay here, take it. You will keep her in your heart as we have.

Rental exactly as described.Easy check-in and supportive host. Perfect for a retired couple wanting an oasis within walking distance of the centre of Merida with easy access to shops and good restaurants. Good points: Beautiful courtyard garden perfect for relaxing in. Outstandingly furnished with high quality goods.Things to note: Master bedroom is at front of house and therefore has street noise. Not really suitable for long term stay as kitchen not really up to any major cooking activities. As previous reviewers state think more suite in boutique hotel. Probably not suitable for nomads as wifi patchy in places except if you were right by router in which case it was very good.For the right people aware of the restrictions then excellant villa that i would definitely consider going to again.

This is the fourth VRBO house we've rented in Merida, and definitely the nicest! Everything is as beautiful as the photos and descriptions suggest. We especially loved the outdoor living experience--only going indoors to sleep. The house is cared for meticulously. The furnishings are elegant and comfortable. The renovation of the property took advantage of the beautiful architectural details, while adding contemporary convenience. The garden and patios are a sanctuary in the midst of this busy, bustling city. We found the back room to be very quiet for sleeping. Adrian is a delightful and responsive property manager. We appreciated his providing groceries to get us started and his quick response to our questions and needs. Every day we took advantage of the delightful Cosmo Cafe next door--perfect espresso and classic breakfast items with refined touches. Miguel and Dani are foodies--and the nicest people to start your day with. Thank you Stephen for making your beautiful house available. We hope to return next year!

WOW! The house was just amazing. It was like a luxury boutique hotel. Everything was beautiful and very romantic. The pool and courtyard were magical, especially at night. The location is perfect, a 5 minute walk to the main square, café’s, restaurants, everything was nearby. Each bedroom, with it’s own bathroom, was unique with very high quality furniture throughout. We felt really lucky to stay in such an amazing house. Check in was perfect, Adrian the manager showed us everything, there was even a bottle of wine and fresh fruit to welcome us. We loved this house and want to return again and again!

The most beautiful property you could hope to find! The pictures don’t do it justice, it is like living in a palatial museum except that ALL the furniture is comfortable. It is near so many wonderful places and historic sights it will blow your mind. I suggest renting a car if you want to get to beaches and the incredible cenotes. You can also do day trips to ruins. In the middle of the property is a perfectly gardened courtyard. You can see the sky and enjoy the birds and plants while you’re having your morning coffee. (And conveniently located coffee shops if you are a latte person. ). Adrian, the property manager couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The place has glitches because of the fact that it is so old but Adrian will be there for you when they come up. A washer and dryer and a dishwasher! No tv but who cares? You will be too busy with all of the opportunities. And the people couldn’t be kinder. And not to mention that you can sit with an incredible view of the cathedral, museums, people, etc while enjoying a 5 meal of tacos and a beverage! That includes the tip!!!!!My God don’t let yourself miss this opportunity to stay here and relax, learn about history and see all the beauty that Merida has to offer!
