Beautiful old property, very quirky. Great location for trips to Wallace Memorial, Stirling, Edinburgh and Loch Lommond. Had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay.
Powis House was exactly what we were looking for. Quiet, on outskirts of the town of Stirling, close to St Andrews, Glasgow and Edinburgh. The guest house was set in wonderful surroundings. The host parents welcomed us on arrival and was available constantly. Great visit

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. It was wonderful to host you, we hope to see you back at Powis sometime. Best, Jennifer and James
Beautiful holiday home, with large plush bedrooms, large kitchen and very comfortable lounge. There was plenty of space for all of us. The children loved the beautiful wild garden and the cosy playroom. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The dogs will bark a little but they are very cute, so none of our children were afraid of them. We had a wonderful stay.
We spent three days at Powis House Mid, it was so incredibly fun and beautiful! We loved seeing the Wallace monument as we left the lane, so amazing! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful! We even got to pet their dogs. Highly recommend—it was quaint and eloquent, but functional and comfortable. Thank you James!!
I wouldn't say this is not a cottage. It's more than that, and better. This unit is one of two, attached to the estate withprivate entrances/exits, all very nice. You have permission to walk around 75% of the grounds and you can eat ripe apples or any fruit that's ready. The town, restaurants, groceries, and tourist attractions are all short drives. Enjoy.
