About Carol Hester
Carol and Tom have been married for 40 years and have lived the majority of that time in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Why Carol Hester chose Milam
Crappie House offers a unique opportunity to stay in a mid-century modern cabin and to live the good life as you lounge on the balcony or dine over the water in the screened dock house. And of course, there is the world-class fishing, not to mention the large outdoor area, perfect for creating memories with your family or friends.
What makes this cabin unique
Few properties offer the acreage, accessibility to the lake, and the amenities that Crappie House has to offer, including a semi-private boat launch, large fire pit and screened dock house with sitting and dining areas. Located just north of the Pendleton Bridge, Crappie House is situated at nearly the midpoint of the lake, allowing access to both the north and south ends. Guests may fish off the dockhouse balcony or along the seawall (be aware of large boulders along the sea wall and of the slippery seawall). There is a smooth sandbar in the slough perfect for floating and kids' swimming -- go out from the launch to the white pole. It is usually 2-4 feet deep.
