This was our first trip to the Algarve in over 20 years. Staying at Casa Fuschia did not disappoint. It was close enough to towns for shopping and tourist activities if we wanted, but was in a quiet location so we could completely relax and switch off from every day life. I would definitely consider returning in the not too distant future!

Faro farm stay

The location is a short 20 min drive from the airport on an amazing piece of property. Secluded in the hills overlooking Faro. Very comfortable home with everything you need for a short or long stay. Private pool and deck. Pond to enjoy your morning coffee. Hosts are easy going and able to be contacted quickly if you need them. 5 out of 5 for sure.

Family vacation

We enjoyed are stay at this Villa with are family. The house is big and can accommodate a lot of people. The cleanliness was great. The pool was lovely except that it was to hot! We had to get turn the heat down to enjoy it. Also, the beds are extremely firm, I would recommend the owners upgrade the beds immediately.

Lovely quiet property with fabulous pool, sunset views.

We loved our stay in this quiet self-contained villa. It is well-furnished, has good air-con, and is in a quiet village away from the hustle of the coastline. The best part was the stunning large private pool, and if the owner used it, we never saw him. The unit has an upper terrace with gorgeous views over the valley. Lots of useful amenities like a washing machine, well-equipped kitchen, and many sun umbrellas and loungers. A car is essential as you are about 15 minutes from the Faro airport. The village has a grocery store with all the basics. It was a good base for exploring, and it was very quiet, except for the occasional barking dog across the valley. Perfect for a couple. We will remember it as a little bit of paradise.

Exceptional Property -An Algarve Gem!

One of the best vacations that we've had largely due to our stay at Villa Mara. Spectacular views over Faro and Olhao down to a gleeming ocean below. Set in the hills amongst other luxurious villas birds and nature abound. The owner's father Uli is the most fantastic gardener and was often around. Acres of beautiful plants surround the Villa and there are literally endless tables and chairs and different courtyards and places to have a meal or morning coffee. The Manager, Jens was always there for us if we had a question. He was very accommodating and helpful with suggestions and the notes in the house were very helpful. The house is extremely well thought out. The kitchen well equipped, the beds comfortable, and the sitting areas cosy and fresh. The house was so clean and fresh. We appreciated the air conditioning a lot! The terraces and the pool were stunning and although we traveled alot, we spent every other day around the pool. We had never been in such a beautiful climate. Consistently 28-34, sunny and dry. Unbelievable! Portugese people we met were so nice without exception. Finally, the location was outstanding. Very central in the Algarve and close to Seville. 2 hours. We had such fun. Big thank yous to Jens, Uli and Heidi. We will be back one day soon i hope. Tim and Maria

We arrived in Tavira in late April expecting cooler weather but it was unexpectedly warm. The house was very comfortable with excellent outdoor space ( three terraces- two very spacious and one smaller) - there was very good ar flow on the kitchen/living room level with doors open. The terrace off of the kitchen actually became an extension of the kitchen with most meals eaten out there. The gas barbecue was used often and was appreciated (first gas barbecue we've had in Tavira). The rooftop terrace was also very comfortable on hot days. There is ample air conditioning throughout and wi-fi was generally good in all areas of the house. One comment we would make is that since the bedrooms are on the ground floor, the windows open directly onto the street so we had to keep them closed at night. Also, it should be noted that two of the bedrooms are separated by a sliding door and one of those beds is a futon. All in all, very comfortable for us and quickly became our home away from home. Would also add that Carol was easily reached and was very responsive to our questions.

Peaceful and comfortable country living.

We were looking for a quiet place in the country and Ria Joia was perfect for us! It is a beautiful new extension with all the comforts one would want. It is in a lovely setting just outside a small village with views of the hills and the river bed. We especially enjoyed hiking through the hills and then coming back for a refreshing dip in the pool. Thanks Angie and Jonny! We had a great time :-)
