FANtastic guests! Our cleaners were thrilled with how well it was taken care of and how clean it was at departure. Pre-, during, and post-communication was excellent. We would LOVE to have them back year after year after year. They are OUR kind of people!!

Our family had a wonderful visit to Mary Jane Cottage at Laurel Lake. It was everything we hoped for and more. So many water toys and activities, fun was had by all! The accommodations of the 3 cottages made for a delightful stay with plenty of space for sleeping and bathing. I can not say enough good things about the owners. We felt so welcomed, like staying at a family members vacation home. Such a wonderful blessing to have found such a magical place.

It was an absolute honor and joy to host Kathy's family. Her pre-stay, during, and post-stay communication was fantastic. They were excellent guests and just the type we hope will come back year after year. Zero issues = great guests!!! Just the easiest, sincerest, and friendliest people to be around.

We Loved the Cottage!

Had a great stay here. Host super helpful and responsive. Had fun swimming, fishing, and just relaxing. Comfortable stay in a delightful location. Can't wait to go back again sometime :)

We celebrated our son‘s college graduation from SUNY Binghamton with 12 of our family and friends. We could not have asked for better accommodations. We had more than enough beds and great spaces to gather. My own home is not as well stocked as this property and it was impeccably clean. The rooms and views were even more beautiful in person than in the pictures. The only thing more impressive than the property itself is Ken. He is incredibly kind and helpful and his communications and instructions made everything so easy!

Stay at Brackney PA house

Great house. Clean; owner thought of everything The view on the lake from the back porch is fantastic . Cozy as well as plenty big enough to satisfy our family of 5 Ken was a great host with directions and house orientation.

University Graduation

We Had a flawless week, even though we had some rain it didn't stop us from playing on the lake, and a couple nights next to bomb fire. There was plenty of room for guest to retreat to if needed and plenty of common space to enjoy each others company. Absolutely Perfect.

Thanks Kelly! You were by far the guest who did way more than anyone to clean up before you left. We have NEVER had a guest do laundry...unheard of!!! Our cleaners questioned if anyone even stayed there! You're always welcome back!!

Family vacation

My family, as well as my husband’s brother and his family recently stayed at the MaryJane cottage. We had an awesome time! The cottage is nicely updated but still has a rustic feel, which I love! The house came with kayaks and floats galore for both the adults and kids in our group. The house was very clean and comfortable. Ken was wonderful to work with and an excellent host!!

Wonderful Lake Vacation

We rented the main cottage which had a rustic charming feel with all the amenities. The house was very clean and fully stocked with everything you would need. The property and lake were gorgeous and peaceful. The cottage was the perfect getaway. I can’t say enough about our stay. To top it off Ken was the most thoughtful and responsive host we have ever had. Can’t wait to come back and rent the entire property. I would 100% recommend for a getaway with the family or a large group.

It was a pure pleasure to host Martin and his family. From Pre, During, and Post-Check out communication it as absolutely the best. Unfortunately, VRBO only allows for a 5-star rating when in actuality I would have gladly given them 10-stars or higher! When guests leave your property virtually as clean as when they walked in...these are the guests you want to come back FOR LIFE!!! Great people, great personalities, JUST GREAT!

Excellent...Highly recommend

If I could give Ken and his property 10 out of 5 stars, I would: it was that good. From our initial questions to our last day there, Ken was in constant communication. His instructions to the property, how to get in and get settled, and how to check-out were excellent. We had a party of 12 adults and we're so glad we booked all three houses: we all had plenty of space to spread out, various places to gather, and plenty of places to be alone when everyone got to be a little much. We stayed in mid-May so the water is a bit too chilly for us to use the lake activities: we hope to book more into July next time so the lake is nice and warm. We will definitely rebook our next family event here.

When our cleaning company says, "They must not have spent much time here because they look like they were barely used!” ...THIS is how you know you have great guests. Sean's group took care of our family-treasured cottages just as we would and you can't ask for better guests than that! We were thrilled they chose to make our cottages part of their daughter's graduation memory. Pre, during, and post-stay communication was fantastic. We would LOVE to have them back again and for years and years to come. The perfect guests!

An Amazing Waterfront Property With Flexible Space for Families

This was a great place for our summer vacation with siblings and their families. We had 6 adults and 6 young children in our group and the three separate living spaces really allowed for a nice balance of togetherness and privacy, too. The waterfront is awesome and there are more kayaks, floats, and other water toys than we could have imagined. The swimming was great and we all enjoyed exploring the lake in pedal boats and kayaks. We had heavy rains for a few days and the TV, Netflix, places for board games, and indoor gathering space really kept us all entertained. When the little ones started to get a little stir crazy in one place, they bounced to another it helped keep them entertained. Ken is a wonderful host who made sure we had everything we needed before and during our stay. Five stars -- we'll be back!

Kyle and Family, Thank you for the kind words. Future hosts... If you ever have the opportunity to host Kyle, his family, and friends, you will know what it's like to have a 10 STAR guest! We were so impressed with how they cared for our place that we actually sent them back a portion of the cost of their stay because we had VERY little to do to get it ready for our next guests. NEVER have we had such thoughtful and caring guests...NEVER!!! AND, they left US a gift basket when they checked out!!! WHO DOES THAT!?!? Words can't describe how impressed we were with this family. Truly amAzing people!!

Breathe of fresh air

My family (kids 2, 4, and 6) had a great time on Laurel Lake at the cottage. The kids took over the upper level of the house and quickly made the cozy bunk beds their personal forts. We slept downstairs and woke up to the sunrise over the lake from our bed. We ate all our meals for the week on the porch looking out at the lake; it was fantastic. In the evenings we had smore's around the fire pit. The kids swam in the water which was clear enough to see their toes. They enjoyed the floating dock, jumping off the dock, wading in the water on the side of the dock, and also sticking their fingers into the water to lure the fish to the surface. Every morning we paddle boated, and our 6-yr-old learned how to kayak on the lake too. The house had everything we needed and the owner, Ken Cooper, answered all my nervous Nelly questions I had before the trip as I was packing. The trip was easy and peaceful. We would highly recommend.

This was one of our favorites! Ken Everybody had such a fun time with fishing, swimming the lake, the water toys, and the fire pit. OHH and the front porch was always used by all My grandchildren caught so many fish! We had all 3 rented out and plenty of space for everyone! Ken was awesome and very accessible with whatever we needed! And every unit had everything you could possibly need!! This place was a home away from home!

We LOVED hosting Mary Jo and her family! They are the perfect guests! Pre-, during, and post-communication were A ! An absolute delight to host! They even did laundry...while ON VACATION...who does that?!?! Only the best guests! These are the type of guests EVERY host dreams of. Hoping they make our cottages an annual event!!

Had a blast!!

The cottage was amazing, great access to the lake plenty of room for the whole family. Brought my wife , daughter, son in law and 3 grandchildren who by the 2nd day did not ever want to go home. They became swimmers, kayakers, and hikers by the end of the week. It really helped that my sister and her family live next door year round and made my family feel so welcome. It was so worth the 5- 6 hour ride to get there from Boston and we definitely would like to come back next year. Ken, the owner was very easy to get in touch with and and quickly responsive.

Our cleaners were GUSHING at how clean Debbie and her family left out cottage. We were beyond thrilled with every aspect of them as our guests. Amazing people = Amazing guests!

Beat the Heat

It all starts with Ken the owner. In 10 years of renting properties for our family vacation, Ken wins the prize for hospitality. Renting all three buildings is the way to go. Lots of space to gather while offering privacy for a growing family. The place was clean with lots of stuff for the water. And what a nice private setup they have at the water. Nicest by far in my experience. The rental was more than we had spent in the past but probably the best value.

If you ever have the opportunity to host Brain and his family, you will see first hand what it's like to have guests who care for your property as much as you do. I felt like I was going to have to start paying Brian as my Property Manager! They left the property looking immaculate. 5 star guest in all categories. Pre-Check In through Post-Check Out was great. Just a great group to host and fun to get to know. Wish they were neighbors!

Property is beautiful. Lake is awesome. Ken is an excellent host. This is a perfect place to get away and escape for a while. Bring your whole family - great property for family reunion or special occasion.

Lake house on Laurel Lake PA

We rented all 3 buildings. The hosts thought of every detail for an enjoyable weekend experience. Ken met us upon our arrival to give us a tour of the property. Highlights included kayaks, paddle boats , fire pits & loads of firewood, gas BBQ grill, comfortable beds, well groomed landscape, everything nicely organized. All of our party had a fantastic time and want to come back. Truly a 5 star experience!

Having guests that leave your property in better condition when they found it and treat it as if it were their own is beyond a 5-star rating. I mean, who actually does the laundry for you?!?! Who cleans so that your cleaning crew has very little to do?!?! The Michalak's THAT'S WHO!!! If you ever have the opportunity or host Vince and/or any of his family you will never have to worry about your property. Fantastic communication from pre to post check out and absolutely the most delightful people I've met in a long time.

Great lake house experience with flexible renter

This place is the quintessential lake house. It's located on quiet lake laurel with other lake houses that are barely noticable. There are 3 cottages that are set up for large groups with children. You don't have to rent all 3 cottages if you choose not to. They pretty much provide every amenity you can think of. Read the fine print , if not you will over pack. We had an issue with the refrigerator and it was replaced within 2 hours( what more can you ask for). Our group came off a 5 year rental of a previous lake house and this one blew it away. We are definitely booking next year and can't wait. 0 complaints!!!!
