Nestled along the edge of the Gulf of Mexico, you’ll find Water’s Edge 612. With stunning views and a private balcony, it is perfect for a relaxing escape. This Fort Walton Beach condo rental has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeping accommodations for up to six. It includes free WiFi/cable TV/phone service, complimentary beach service (1 umbrella an 2 chairs) March 1st-October 31st, and year-ground complementary garage parking.

In the living room, enjoy sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico, then step out on to the private balcony for a dose of fresh, salt air. Find access to the balcony from the master bedroom as well. You can even prepare beach picnics and family meals in the fully-equipped kitchen while overlooking the emerald water of the Gulf. Plus, the kitchen is generously decorated with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances.

During your stay at Water’s Edge, go from kicking your feet up on the balcony to sinking your toes into the sugar white sand. Build sandcastles, splash in the surf, or stroll along the shore searching for seashells. Afterward, head to the fitness facility or the Gulf-front pool to bask in the Florida sunshine. Pool days meet afternoon barbecues when you gather the whole family for a cookout at the community grills.

With all the things to do in Fort Walton Beach, explore land and sea during your stay. Test your adventurous side by parasailing, paddle boarding, or jet skiing. Or play a round of miniature golf, go zip lining, or spend a day at the arcade. Not great!

Several thing wrong. The bed in front bedroom shook like it was falling apart. The tv in the bunk bed room was to low and the crate nailed under it was tacky. The kids had no place for their clothes. That little night stand wouldn’t hold their stuff. The rug in the living room is so nasty we rolled it up and put it in a closet until we left. And we couldn’t sit in the couch. You sit down and the cushions fell down through the front of couch. And it wasn’t homie.

Family Vacation/Wedding

Overall it was a wonderful stay with family! There were a few hiccups. We were notified that the washer would not be available during our stay. Power in the kitchen went out temporarily. Also the floors needed a good cleaning. However Dave, Larry, and the Southern Rentals team put in the extra effort to make things right with towel/linens service, a Parlour Donut gift card, Tervis cups, coozies, and an offer to have the condo cleaned a second time. The condo facility itself, including the pool and beach were maintained daily. We especially enjoyed the beach chairs and umbrella service included with the room. The washer ended up coming the day before we left, so we were able to do some laundry before heading home. All in all, it was a great week!

Online pics looked better than in person

The 6th floor views were beautiful and the Waters Edge property is very well maintained as a whole. We stayed for the month of February 2023 and was very disappointed in how the online pictures looked compared to the actual condo. The leather/vinyl sofa & loveseat are stained and soiled and the leather is peeling on the sides. The jutte rug in living room is badly stained and worn. The furniture is overpowering in this small space. The kitchen table is waaaaay too big for this condo and the dining chairs are extremely uncomfortable. We had to re-arrange the furniture in order for 3 of us to even sit at the table as there is absolutely NO room behind the loveseat as the pictures show. We had continual maintenance issues (master shower head fell off, both bathroom drains were badly clogged with hair, refrigerator was missing shelves to place food on, ceiling fan/light in queen bedroom continually blinked when you turned it on, washer made noises and often times would not finish out a cycle but would stop in the rinse cycle. After repeatedly pushing the start button it would eventually start up and complete the cycle. The sliding door from master bedroom would not open and the internet was very poor throughout our stay. It seemed like our stay was a continual parade of people coming into the apartment to "fix" things. The cable/internet people came out twice after we called management and they said that they couldn't do anything as it was not their router but a cheaper one that most likely needed to be replaced. It was never replaced during our stay. The only way you could get the wifi back up again was to unplug the router 2-3 times per day and it would then re-connect. Overall our stay was okay but we would not rent this unit again. The condo was clean and the floors were clean when we walked with socks on. Also, the main bridge that connects Fort Walton Beach to Okaloosa Island/Destin will be beginning bridge repairs (March 1st, 2023) which I was told by a local will last 3 years so it will be very inconvenient to go to Publix or Winn Dixie across the bridge. The closest place will be driving into Destin which is probably 4-5 miles from condo.

It was ok

King bed needs a new mattress. The cleaning people did not do a good job at all. We got the early check-in and it wasn't clean. The property manager comped us for our problem. The kitchen light didn't work, so it was hard to see when trying to cook in the evenings.

Perfectly wonderful

This is a beautiful condo, roomy and beautifully decorated. The view is incredible. The pools are stunning. My only concern is the late check in. 4 pm was much too late for us.

Spring Break

We loved the view of the pool and gulf from the 6th floor. Access to the unit from the parking garage and elevator was good. The bedrooms and bathrooms were good sizes and the kitchen area was larger than expected. The unit wasn’t as clean as I’d like have a little one who plays on the floor. The family room carpet looked and felt filthy and the patio door tract was incredibly dirty. I felt like I needed shoes or socks on to walk on the floors.

Just ok.

There was nothing wrong with the owner. It was the management company. Upon arrival, we had no towels, however that was fixed easily. The curtains has mold all over them and the doors leaked when it rained. However the location was absolutely perfect.

As advertised

What you see in the photos is what you get. Large Pool, beautiful beach, gulf breezes from a spacious top floor unit with beautiful views. We've stay in a couple units at Waters edge and have never been disappointed. Everything you need is within five minutes.

Fantastic Views in a Fabulous Property

Had a wonderful few weeks in this stay! Everything was clean and in great working order upon arrival. I can't speak highly enough of how wonderful the views in this property are, and it was an incredible sight to see each day.

Top condo I've stayed in

I've been to all of them down there. Nautilis, IP, etc. WatersEdge is hands down the best one I've stayed in in FWB and the Davenports have a super nice condo in this complex. Spotless upon arrival and the beds were more comfortable than my bed at home. Beach view was fantastic and everything I'm used to in FWB was close by. Will try to stay there again in the future, but i bet once the word is out, this one will stay booked up.

Week of Hurricane Sally

The property was clean, absolutely no complaints there. The property is in need of a little TLC, particularly in the master bathroom (leaky sink faucet, caulk around commode and an issue with the shower drain). A coffee table or ottoman in the living room would have been nice, especially since we were stuck inside for most of three days until the storm passed. We've stayed many times at Water's Edge would possibly consider this unit again but I would definitely look around first.

We are a family of 4 that love quiet beach with white sand. We purchased this condo in 2017 as our secondary home.

We decided to purchase a condo at Okaloosa island due to its hustle free beach and close proximity to Destin and Crab island. With white sand beach steps from our condo, shopping and more dinning hotspots within driving distance, Waters Edge is our natural choice. We felt in love with Unit 612 at the first sight of its pictures and decided to purchase it before we even had a chance to visit it. It is our best decision ever! This professionally designed condo exceeds our expectation and has everything we need for a hassle-free vacation! We could see dolphins from our top-floor balcony in the early morning. We even saw sting rays near seashore.
