Lovely private guest house in the heart of the M Street's conservation district
Our very clean and comfortable guest house is situated in an historic neighborhood, full of charming 1920's and 1930's Tudor homes. The Monticello Guest House offers all the amenities of home. A full bathroom with a claw foot tub and shower, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, a kitchenette with a mini stainless steel fridge, double burner cooktop, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster. Dishes, glasses, utensils and cookware are all provided.
The guest house has a very comfortable queen sized bed with a pillow-top mattress. Extra linens, pillows, blankets and towels are provided. Smart TV includes Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu Plus (with Eero Wifi for a strong signal). New heating and air conditioning unit ensures your comfort.
You can expect a very relaxing, private stay with keyless entry and your own private garage and entrance. The owners are available by text if there is anything you need.
We are right in the heart of the M Streets, walking distance to all the fun on Lower Greenville Ave. (cute coffee shops, great restaurants, grocery stores and nightlife). Walk the other direction and you are in the Knox Street District with upscale and boutique shopping, and more amazing restaurants and nightlife. We love great food so you will find a list of recommended restaurants and nearby attractions in the guest house.
We are located just a few blocks from Central Expressway with close proximity and easy access to Downtown, Uptown, Mockingbird Station, Knox-Henderson, SMU, Northpark Mall, The Dallas Arboretum and just a few blocks from Katy Trail.

About Becky Leigh
I am a writer, actress and Martha Stewart wanna-be originally from the East Coast. After living on the West Coast for seven years, I now call Dallas home. The safe, fun and walkable location of the M Streets has made the transition from the coasts to Dallas very easy! I hope you have a great stay in Dallas!
Why Becky Leigh chose Lower Greenville
We chose to live in the M Streets because we love the neighborhood! It is safe and quiet with very friendly neighbors, but we are just a couple of blocks away from restaurants, bars and coffee shops. One of our favorite things to do is to get up in the morning and walk for breakfast or coffee. The streets are lined with trees, offering plenty of shade and the homes are so quaint and charming, it makes the walks very pleasant. The entrance to Katy Trail (a paved 3.5 mile pedestrian, cycling and rollerblading trail) is just a short walk from our house. If we want a longer walk, we love to walk to Katy Trail Ice House and have breakfast tacos or lunch. Because I am from the East Coast, an easy trip to the airport was important to me when choosing a place a live. I love that we are so close to central expressway, getting anywhere in Dallas is very convenient.

The room was perfect for us.
The only thing if we had a negative is not knowing about the claw foot tub. Being an older couple getting for a shower was a bit challenging. We are both in good shape but it could be dangerous for others.
Lovely room. Lovely neighborhood. Great location. Very quiet. I had a great trip!

Thank you so much for being such a great guest! You are always welcome back!
Quaint little studio
Very nice studio, was perfect for 2 people. Supplied with coffee and few snacks very nice touch. We did not spend a lot of time in the studio, as we were out and about exploring the Dallas area. It was easy to get around from the location and we found a sports bar close by to watch the Superbowl. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was a good size. My only suggestion would be a non-slip mat in the tub/shower. I would have liked a little table next to the sink to put my make up bag on. Others stated the driveway is narrow and they aren't kidding very tight, but doable with a small car or suv. We would stay again.
Great, cozy getaway in quiet neighborhood with good food, bars and shopping nearby
We loved the two nights spent here. The neighborhood was perfect for nights out and it’s proximity to the interstate made travel easy. The bed was very comfortable and Becky’s effort to make her guests happy do not go unnoticed. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.
great room in a great neighborhood
This place was very nice, though small. It suited my wife and I perfectly. The bed was great, the kitchen area was well stocked and the location was close to every place in Dallas we wanted to see. Everything in the place seemed new. The tub may not work for folks that need something to hold onto getting in and out. For everyone else I highly recommend it.
Convenient location in a quiet residential area, but close distance to restaurants & shopping
Basic but very clean & comfortable room. Larger vehicles may find the narrow driveway problematic & people with physical handicaps will likely have difficulty using the claw foot tub. Overall much nicer & more home like than a hotel.
Our neighborhood has a lot going on! A Halloween parade, pictures with Santa, an Easter egg hunt, and the infamous St. Patrick's Day parade all happen within a couple of blocks of our guest house.
