Tucked away on a peaceful smallholding in the heart of South Devon, this beautifully converted barn offers a countryside escape for up to six guests, complete with rustic exposed stone walls and a cracking wood burner. Located in the grounds of Dartington Hall, the house combines rustic charm with modern comforts, making it the perfect base for exploring both Dartmoor National Park (5 miles) and the stunning South Devon coastline.
The ground floor welcomes you with a bright and airy open-plan living space that blends rural character with contemporary style. Soaring vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and warm wooden floors set the tone for a relaxing stay. On cooler evenings, gather around the cosy wood burner, sink into the plush sofas, and enjoy a film on the Smart TV. The stylish kitchen area has beautiful wooden cabinetry and all the appliances you’ll need to whip up delicious meals to be enjoyed at the farmhouse table. Descend the glass-balustrade staircase to the lower ground floor, where the character continues with exposed stone walls and inviting sleeping quarters. You’ll find two king-size bedrooms, one featuring floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open directly onto the garden. The second king-size bedroom includes an additional day bed, offering flexible sleeping arrangements. Younger guests will love the bunk room, accessible through the master bedroom. The spacious family bathroom features both a bathtub and a wet room-style shower. Outside, unwind in the sunny seating area, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature. The property also offers private parking for two cars, ensuring a hassle-free stay.
Just 2.5 miles from the bohemian market town of Totnes and 15.5 miles from the historic harbour town of Dartmouth, you’ll find yourself perfectly positioned to enjoy the best of the English Riviera. For days by the sea, Paignton Beach is 9 miles away, while the golden sands of Broadsands await a mile further. Families will love the proximity to the heritage South Devon Railway, less than a mile from your door, while Woodlands Theme Park offers rainy day fun 8.5 miles from home.
