Great Cottage Apartment

We loved our stay. It was very quiet at Casa nas Nuvens. We went to Paolo’s cafe several times and we enjoyed it very much chatting with everone. It was close to several beaches. Fernanda the housekeeper was very helpful! We had a GREAT stay.

Charming old world style rooms

My husband and I enjoyed our few days in this charming apartment. Lovely views, unfortunately the weather was too cool for the pool, but we enjoyed the ocean breeze and the view. Many options for site-seeing in Sintra and surrounding villages. The owner was very helpful with navigating the local area. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Amazing!

We were very impressed, but very hard to find. GPS does not take you to the correct location! Once we found the place absolutely lovely! Owner is friendly, very welcoming and will help you with whatever you need! I cant eait to come back!

Beautiful location

Up high in the hills above Colares with wonderful views from the large terrace outside the flat. Drive to accommodation from the valley is up narrow and windy roads and between medieval houses so needs a small car. Flat was beautifully clean. Bed very comfortable. Host very helpful.

This was an incredible property set in the beautiful tranquil hills above Sintra. The homes are exquisitely restored and offer everything you could possibly want for a vacation stay. WE appreciated the attention to detail. the swimming pool, patios and grounds are lushious. We will be back and can suggest to couples are families. PLease stay awhile and enjoy the pace of life. Beautiful, remote location

We arrived at the location but sadly, were not able to stay in the downstairs apartment. I have asthma and the apartment was damp inside. Jane did bring another dehumidifier to the space, but I was afraid to risk a stay. Her son was on property and my husband had a lovely conversation with him. This house is a little piece of paradise for Jane and her family. It is certainly beautiful.

Die Unterkunft war feucht, kalt und muffig! Die Heizkörper waren alt und außer Funktion. Im Frühjahr aus oben genannten Gründen nicht zu empfehlen.

Leuk huis met mooie ligging met een aantal maren…

Het huis is erg vochtig, handdoeken drogen niet. Er staat wel een luchtzuiverings apparaat maar dat werkt alleen zolang hij aan staat. Er is geen afzuiging in de keuken en de pannen zijn van lichtgewicht aluminium. Douchen in het bad wat erg glad is! Matrassen zijn kei hard en scheef ook. Bed van 140 is erg krap en had het gevoel dat ik eruit viel. Op de foto’s lijkt het zwembad op hetzelfde niveau als het huis, in werkelijkheid moet je eerst een paar treden af en dan weer op, voor mij lastig vanwege blessure! Er stond dat het bovenhuis niet verhuurd werd maar wij realiseerden ons niet dat de eigenaresse erboven verbleef. Erg gehorig en af en toe ook geblaf van honden. De bank is echt aan vervanging toe, er ligt een kleed overheen maar eronder zitten behoorlijk wat vlekken. Overal liggen kleedjes zonder anti slip, wij hebben ze direct allemaal weg gehaald! Positief was de tuin met het zwembad, heel mooi en prettig om te zijn. Voldoende bedjes met zachte matrasjes en zwem handdoeken te gebruiken van het huis. De eigenaresse is erg aardig en doet er alles aan om het je naar de zin te maken. De grote honden bleken erg lieve pups. Koffie en thee en keukenlinnen aanwezig en boven de bedden hangen klamboes. De toegangsweg is erg smal en steil, vanaf beneden de berg op. Aangeraden om een kleine auto te gebruiken! De ligging is prachtig en met wat aanpassingen zou het huis van ons een betere waardering krijgen!

Casa nas nuvens penedo

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in einer geschmackvoll eingerichteten kleinen Wohnung mit eigener Terrasse und Blick zum Meer. Von der freundlichen Gastgeberin haben wir wertvolle Tipps zu Restaurants, Einkaufen und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der nächsten Umgebung erhalten. Es war alles sehr unkompliziert. Der Pool hat uns schöne Erfrischung gewährt und auf der großen gemeinsamen Terrasse nette Gespräche mit den anderen Gästen beim Grill.

We had a wonderful Stay in this house. Very quiet. Good view. The owner is an interesting womanizer. Big Hospitality. April is too cold and not enough hearing possibilities. Geest opportunities for visiting lots of places.

Charming cottage with low ceilings and limited kitchen

We stayed in the lower floor 1 bedroom cottage at Jane's beautiful property tucked away in the mountains above Colares. The views from the balcony are breathtaking and the communal BBQ and pool area is heavenly - if only the weather had been in our favour! Although the cottage is charming, the ceilings are very low and my husband struggled to dodge the low doorways ending up with several headaches. We are avid cooks and were disappointed to find such a limited kitchen. The kitchen space was tiny and felt cramped with only a small bar fridge (that did not close properly) and a tiny portable oven. There is not much counter space at all, the double sink was hard to reach and there was no drying rack. I guess we just had bad luck - because of all the rain the dish towels never dried and we struggled with the wet kitchen.

Lage in einem freundlichen Dorf ohne übermäßigen Tourismus. Geräumiges Haus mit liebevoll ausgewählten alten Möbeln und traditioneller Bauweise. Schöne Veranda mit Blick aufs Meer und zum Palacio de la Pena. Ausstattung wie angekündigt. Gute WLAN-Verbindung. Viele Fernsehsender, aber keine deutschsprachigen. Hilfsbereite Vermieterin. Außerdem hatten wir viel Glück mit dem Wetter (25 bis 30 °C Anfang Oktober).

Lovely house with one of the most beautiful views.

This beautiful house on the top of the mountain was the best choice for our holidays, very close to the amazing beach's and view to the palace. Will definitely book again. regards.
