A wonderful gem of a home to enjoy, ideally situated too.
From the first moment of interest in this property our host was attentive and quick to respond to any queries we had. Martyn went above and beyond, even proving a ping-pong table when asked if there was one already at the property. This was a kind and thoughtful gesture, it meant we could happily while-away the hours by the pool, or take part in our usual ping-pong championship matches Our only issue during the week was the cleaniness of the pool. However, by the end of the week it was virtually clear. Even though this put a dampener on the first few days when we couldnt use it, the mood was soon lightened as Martyn was responsive and apologetic and sought a solution asap. The house is a large space, with several rooms downstairs to relax or eat in. The kitchen and shower room are both well done and have a quality feel about them. The bedrooms have comfortable beds and pillows, and they all have shutters on to keep the light and heat out. We found that sound does travel, so if you're a light sleeper take some ear plugs so your sleep isn't disturbed by the others in your party. The external noise is almost none existent! The external grounds are also lovely to wander around the carp, goldfish, and frogs kept most of us mesmorised each evening. You are 10 minutes from a supermarket, where there is also laundry facilities too. From the property you can walk (or run if you're so inclined!) In any direction and take in the lovely countryside. WiFi is amazing too!
