Comfortable and great people

I had to find a place for an extended stay when my home flooded and repairs were being made. The Beachcomber worked perfectly for me. Debra was great! She answered all my questions, she has a list all prepared with the things you will need to know and being close to the harbor and restaurants in Dana Point and the neighborhood was high energy and in motion all the time. They have several places of various sizes to chose from. Thank you Debra!

Perfection

From the initial contact through check-in to my monthlong stay, this property and its managers are perfection. Debra and Zach are very responsive and friendly. The property is immaculately clean and well-equipped. The location is great as it is within walking distance of shops, restaurants, services, views and the Harbor. I have not one complaint about any aspect of my stay. It truly was perfection!

Superior Vacation Rental

This is an outstanding rental. While the unit is older, it has been redone in a very upscale manner. It is very well equipped and comfortable. A good new AC unit., a very comfortable bed. Everything is well done, down to the superior towels in the bathroom. A great little private porch area in front, and a common barbecue and fountain area in back. The wifi is perhaps the fastest and best I have ever seen in a rental, a great TV package and ability to sign on to your streaming services. The hosts, Zach and Deborah were outstanding to work with as well. We will definitely be renting from them again, couldnt have been better.

Perfect location!

I enjoy my stay at this lovely place. I stay at the location for over 30 days. This place was just right for me and my little fur baby. All the amenities, private patio, and comfy for a short or long term stay. I would definitely recommend you will not be disappointed. This place is also close to a small park short walk to the harbor or night life, if you choose. If I am ever back in the area there is no doubt I would definitely stay here!

Beautiful place and area!

I stayed here during a travel work assignment at an area hospital. Great spot, walking distance to everything. It was perfect for me and my cat, we both enjoyed it and would definitely stay again! Debra and Zach are very responsive and wonderful people.

Pet-Friendly Perfection off the Pacific Coast Highway

You will not regret booking this cottage by the sea. Tucked away in a quaint neighborhood a few blocks from the PCH, the property is immaculate in it's cleanliness, with well appointed fixtures and decor that is the perfect combination of a hotel stay and a home. You can walk to the Lantern District, Starbucks, Marina, and the parks and hikes near by with ease for short adventures during your days here. Before arriving I was worried about needing to buy a Britta, but I was happily surprised to find one in the fridge filled with water and an extra filter under the sink. This place is stocked with everything you could need... so much storage too! And the bathroom... I already miss the bathtub which is huge for taking relaxing baths at night, plus I love the diffuser scent and the hand soap. (I know that sounds crazy, but it's the little things that make a place special). They provide a hairdryer, the washer and dryer is great (I did have to buy my own soap FYI), plenty of hangers in the closet, coffee filters... really they thought of everything! The owners are attentive and helpful with all of your needs too. I shipped an Amazon package to this cottage, and it ended up in the mailbox, so I had to text the owner to get it for me and he came by right away. So nice! For me, a lovely place that is also pet friendly really took this experience to another level for me. I couldn't recommend Coastal Digs enough to anyone looking to stay in Dana Point or the surrounding beach communities!

Fabulous place

Beachcomber is beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. Everything we needed for a fun, beachy, home away from home for a 5 week work assignment. Loved that we could bring our dog who loved sunning on the front patio. Also so nice to be able to walk everywhere in DP. We adored the neighborhood and can’t wait to return!

Great location

This is a nice property in a great location. Easy to walk to good restaurants, shopping and to the marina. The owners were very responsive to all requests and issues (minor) that we had. A comfortable set up for one person or a couple.

Five Stars are not Enough

If it was Debra and Zach's dream to create a beautiful, comfortable and charming place to enjoy while staying in Dana Point then their dream has come true. My husband, two small dogs and I spent two months here and were so impressed with everything from the "Beachcomber" itself to the incredible kindness and hospitality we were shown by Debra and Zach. They really did go the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect.

Powerful shower

Loved the location and the studio, and loved the powerful shower. There is an enclosed front patio for my dog. The back yard with the fountain is not gated and behind the studio, and you have to go out the front and walk the side to the back. There is lots of storage area, and even a small washer n dryer. At the end of th same block there is a small park hwere my dog did his thing everyday. A few more blocks and there is Starbucks.

This studio provided me with everything I needed with class: decor, bed and bath linens, great bed, lots of storage, a small patio. The fruit &cheese platter left by the owner was so thoughtful. The location was ideal. Walkable to the harbor, great views, and wonderful restaurants. Hope to return soon.

Beach Bliss

This place has great access to beaches and shops around Dana Point. Its great for those who like to walk, and only a few blocks from the Trolly Stop for people who prefer to ride. There are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants nearby too! I also liked having plenty of closet space and drawers since my dog and I stayed for 6 weeks!

This is our first time staying in a VRBO, and we couldn’t have had a better experience! This property is extremely clean and beautiful! It’s a great location, too-close to the beach, a dog park, a grocery store, and coffee shops! The owners, Debra and Zach, made sure we had everything we needed and then gave us our space! They also allowed us to bring our dogs. We are thrilled to have found this place, and we highly recommend staying here!

Super Beach Accomodation

Great location ... close to Lantern Village. PCH, n within biking distance of the harbor n all it's restaurants. At PCH you can get a shuttle to the harbor as well as to the big resorts in Dana Point and to Laguna Beach. Accomodation was cozy n comfortable with all amenities needed. We will be back.

Perfect little spot!

From the moment I arrived Dee was helpful and friendly! The place is absolutely adorable, clean and comfortable. It was exactly what I was looking for. Good location to walk to little restaurants and shops. I would stay again. :)

Perfect Studio

The beachcomber is the perfect location, quaint and cozy

This was truly the perfect location, very quaint and cozy get away. The neighborhood is lovely, only walking blocks from numerous lookout points, beaches, shopping, restaurants, marina and great mid point for visiting other places from San Diego to L.A. The cottage is tastefully decorated and clean, with all amenities you might need. Dee was the perfect host. While always available for any need you might have, she respected our privacy. Always responsive. I will recommend this place for family and friends to stay.
