Fantastic opportunity - limited time only!
Montelandi is the historic National Heritage Grade II villa built by the famous architect Henry Goodridge in 1829. Located on the south facing slopes of Bathwick Hill, this masterpiece of Italianate architecture has been temporarily made available by the owner to welcome guests who seek to experience a stay full of history and character.
Montelandi provides some 300m2 of living space across three stories, including :
Five bedrooms (with bedroom 3 being accessed through bedroom 1)
Four bathrooms (three of which are en-suite).
A fully equipped kitchen with modern amenities and a 10-seat dining area.
Utility room with washing and drying machines, second fridge and second oven.
Spacious reception rooms
A separate office and library containing the James Adams painted decorative ceiling.
The double-height Orangery at Montelandi is a unique and delightful feature of the villa. Traditionally, used for the wintering of citrus trees and other exotic plants, at Montelandi, the Orangery, with its ornate plasterwork ceiling, now serves as both a working area and as a place for relaxation.
A picturesque lawned garden and a wild sloping meadow.
Shared Private parking is available on the premises
Guest Consideration:
We are delighted to welcome you to Montelandi, a cherished home filled with history and character. Please keep in mind that you are staying in someone's personal home, not a hotel. We kindly ask that you treat Montelandi with the same care and respect you would your own home. This is a unique opportunity to experience a piece of history, and we hope you enjoy and honour the space and its heritage.
Please note: the roof of the historic bell tower (il campanile) is currently under restoration and has temporary scaffolding in place, which for safety reasons is out of bounds. Works will not be carried out during your stay.
The basement is currently inaccessible to guests.
Rental includes 2 hours daily cleaning/housekeeping.
