Joan’s house in Gelida suited our needs perfectly. It was spotlessly clean and the pool was private and not at all overlooked. The town is quiet but has the necessary shops and restaurants if you went to eat out. Joan was away on holiday when we arrived but communications were really friendly and prompt. It was a pleasure to meet him briefly and it was really useful to be able to stay a little late on our departure day. Thanks!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about this house and the host! Very safe, quiet and clean. The host was able to help us with a taxi driver but it’s a simple walk down into town. About 10 minute walk. To Americans that want to do more than the town of Gelida, I’d suggest renting a car. That’s the only part that was slightly difficult only because we wanted to visit more vineyards. I highly suggest a stay here if you enjoy comfort, relaxation and quiet. It’s absolutely beautiful and the people are friendly. Thank you so much to our host Joan who is just absolutely amazing!

We had a fantastic stay at Cava Castell! The house is beautifully located in the charming hillside village of Gelida, within walking distance of the lively town centre and the historic castle.The property is spacious, fully equipped, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning in the living room and the ceiling fans in the bedrooms made it very comfortable, even during the hottest summer days and nights. The garden, swimming pool, artificial grass area, barbecue, and stunning views over Gelida and the surrounding valley made our stay truly unforgettable.The owner, Joan, gave us a very warm welcome. The house was spotless, the beds were made, and towels, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, a chilled bottle of water, as well as cooking oil and spices were all thoughtfully provided. Joan lives nearby, is easy to reach, and is always happy to help or offer advice.In short, this is a wonderful property with excellent facilities and an exceptionally welcoming host. We highly recommend Cava Castell and would love to return in the future!
