The location of the apartment is fantastic to visit and enjoy Barcelona,it is in the city center, and after that, you can have a comforting rest with your children or your partner because it´s incredibly quiet.

It is a top-floor flat with elevator in a typical building of the beautiful 'Ensanche'.
It's very well located. The main tourist sites are situated at a 20-minute-walk from the apartment. (5-10 minutes by underground)
It's perfect to go to Barcelona Fair or Congress (5 min. walking)

The airport is at a 15-minute-drive.
High-Speed Train Station (AVE station) is situated at 10 minutes from the apartment.

Raul is the kindest, most gracious host. He made a great vacation become a fantastic trip. The apartment is beautiful and well maintained. And don’t forget about the rooftop terrace for breakfast!

We highly recommend this VRBO. It's in a residential area close enough to "tourist" areas to either walk or use the Metro - super easy.We can't praise Raul enough for all his help during planning and our visit. He went above and beyond answering our questions including providing links to attractions and maps when we arrived. He picked us up at the airport and made sure we had transportation to the port for our cruise. We felt like we became part of his family. Loved Barcelona and will rebook this apartment when we return.

The apartment was spotlessly clean and extremely well located in a quiet area of the city. The metro stop was within a short walk and there were some lovely restaurants nearby. Raul was a fantastic host and was incredibly thoughtful from the moment he met us at the airport. From the fruit basket and the thoughtful extras that were provided (milk, juice, wine and more), we could not have been more well looked after. Raul is the kind of host that others should aspire to be - simply wonderful. Thank you Raul - we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Barcelona!

Great Stay

The owners, Raul and Carmen, bent over backwards to ensure our stay was trouble free. They were personable and were a large part of why our stay in such a beautiful city as Barcelona and our viewing of the America’s Cup racing was as good as it was. The property was well located within walking distance of the Barcelona subway system. Best of all, the Panet bakery was right across the street which ment we had warm bread every morning. My wife and I can’t wait to come back!!!

Wonderful “Home away from Home!”

We wish we could leave more than five stars! We had a wonderful 5 day stay at this quiet, clean, sunny apartment that had everything we needed (and more). Raul went above & beyond with airport pickup, a tour, a fruit basket, wine and food in the fridge. He showed us points of interest on the map and was quick to respond anytime we had a question about the area. We enjoyed breakfast on the rooftop terrace surrounded by Carmen’s beautiful plants & flowers. The location was ideal - close to many sights and in a safe area. Raul and Carmen, we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, hospitality and generosity. We sure hope to go back! Gracias!

Very nice apartment

Very comfortable apartment in a easy accessible area of Barcelona. The terrace was excellent to enjoy an evening drink with the family. It was clean and well stocked. Raul picked us up from the airport and welcomed us to his flat. We would come back again.

A Wonderful Week in Barcelona

We were delighted with the location. Grocery stores and numerous restaurants are all within walking distance. The host provided helpful information on places to eat and sites to visit. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour of the area to help us get oriented. He also responded quickly if we had any questions. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Raul is hands-down the best rental host ever. He is so accommodating and kind. The apartment itself is great for a stay in Barcelona. It has all the amenities you might need and is very comfortable. It’s close to public transportation, making it easy to get anywhere you want to go in the city. There are many great restaurants and shops, and a playground right in the neighborhood as well.

Absolutely Fantastic!!

From the time we arrived until the time we had to the depart, Raul was fantastic! He picked us up from the airport, gave us a little tour and then was extremely helpful explaining the apartment, the transportation system, restaurants, and many other time saving tips to streamline our experience in Barcelona. Best of Barcelona

This is a lovely and spacious apartment in a good neighborhood filled with bakeries, several markets, and good restaurants. It’s not touristy which we like. On a scale of 1-10, Raul scores 10++ as a host who is not only very gracious, but who thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. He picked us up at the airport and gave us a brief tour on the drive to the apartment where a beautiful basket of fruit and wine awaited us. We met Raul as our host. We are very happy to say that he is now our friend.

The perfect location and the perfect hosts

Simply: this is the perfect VRBO spot in Barcelona, and the hosts are the best you will ever meet. Raul picked us up at the airport, drove us around town to get our bearings, and volunteered constant support before, during, and after our trip. He even offered to drive us to the train station when we were ready to head to Madrid. You will find no better hosts anywhere than Raul and Carmen. We will stay here any time we return to Barcelona in the future. The property is conveniently situated in a gorgeous Eixample neighborhood, mere blocks from the Parc de Joan Miró and Montjuïc. The Rocafort subway line is three handsome blocks away on Line 1, granting you convenient access to anywhere in the city. This is an upscale, safe neighborhood, where the locals are extremely warm and friendly to visitors. 11/10, truly. Heed Raul's food recommendations. The dining in the area is exquisite, especially if you like Catalan cuisine and Galician seafood. We happened to book a special dinner at Albert Adrià's Enigma for our anniversary, and were delighted to find it was a short walk away, just five blocks.

Sparkling clean flat with the nicest owners

This beautifully clean, well stocked apartment is located in one of the best areas of Barcelona - a short way away from the crowded main tourist district, in a quiet residential neighborhood near art museums and the beautiful Montjuic mountain, with its castle and the wonderful park. There are two metro stops and numerous bus stops near the apartment. The neighborhood is full of great cafes and restaurants, and a large supermarket is just around the corner. All attractions around Plaza Catalunya are just a few minutes away by bus or by metro, or an easy 25 minute walk. Raul and Carmen are the nicest accommodation owners you will ever meet on your travels. They were in touch before we arrived, provided a lot of very useful information and gave great advice on organizing our holiday in Barcelona. Raul met us at the airport, and took us on a short tour around the area. They left a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine, orange juice, butter and milk in the fridge, coffee, jam, biscuits and even some bottled water for us in the apartment (although the tap water in Barcelona is perfectly safe to drink!). Raul and Carmen live in the same building, and were always there for us to kindly answer any questions we had during our stay.

Gracious Host and Hostess!

The host and his wife made our visit to Barcelona memorable. Never, in my almost 40 years of international travel have I met a more gracious couple. From the initial booking until the day of our departure they were attentive to our every need and quickly responded to any questions we had. Raul assisted with transportation needs, facilitated our train trip and metro pass purchases and made excellent recommendations to ensure we enjoyed everything Barcelona had to offer. Because of Raul and his lovely wife we enjoyed incredible sites, delicious wine, tasty fruit and candy with a flavorable history! Staying over the Christmas holidays allowed us to see street lights, parades, Christmas markets and get our fill of Spanish hot chocolate and churios. We made wise decisions when touring thanks to his recommendations and we ate delicious food at neighborhood markets and restaurants. The apartment was conveniently located between two metro stops and less than a 10 minute walk from Sants train station and Placa Espagna. We were never more than two stops away from any of our adventures. The kitchen was fully equipped, the beds comfortable and there was NO discernable noise from the street level or the neighbors. The location fitted our needs perfectly. One of the best things Raul did was provide two maps identifying resources in the local neighborhood and an overall view of Barcelona. They were invaluable! We hope we have a chance to host our new friends should they ever visit the United States.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal. Sehr zentral gelegen mit sehr guter Anbindung mit Bus und Metro, so dass alle Sehenswürdigkeiten gut erreicht werden,Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann es sich nicht besser wünschen.Auch für die Verpflegung, ob Supermarkt oder günstiges Restaurant (Luna) ist bestens gesorgt. Sie sind in der Umgebung schnell zu fuss zu erreichen.

Our 1st visit to Barcelona was amazing, an absolutely stunning city with wonderful places to see, huge variety of things to do and fabulous food and wine. Our stay was made all the more special by the wonderful hospitality of our host Raul, from picking us at the airport, giving us a quick tour of the city, the welcome basket of fruit and wine to providing us with invaluable maps and recommendations of restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries etc. We felt really well looked after by Raul, he definitely goes above and beyond and it was greatly appreciated. The apartment is lovely, in a really good location, has everything you need with the added bonus of a roof terrace. We would highly recommended staying here and we will hopefully visit again one day soon.

It is a quiet sunny place in the city center. It´s very well communicated and you can walk to the main sights in town. There are a lot of a good restaurants, markets and supermarkets if you prefer to cook at home.
Barcelona Fair is close to the apartment.
It takes only 15 minutes to the airport by taxi or airport bus, and 5 minutes to Sants station where you can take the High-Speed Train (AVE) and go to Madrid in two and a half hours.
