Take the short journey towards the coast to reach Salthouse Beach (4 miles), a pebbly spot that’s popular for fishing or dog walking. Be sure to find time to visit Blakeney (5 miles), the home of England’s biggest seal colony and a fantastic spot for wildlife watching. Another popular seaside spot is Sheringham, just 6.5 miles away and accessible by car or via the fantastic North Norfolk Railway Line from Holt train station (1.5 miles).
