Marsaxlokk is a picturesque traditional fishing village. What I love most about the area is the unique mix of old and new. You’ll still see local fishermen at work and the colourful traditional Maltese fishing boats while enjoying a relaxed modern seafront promenade.
The village has a lively yet easygoing atmosphere, especially around the waterfront, and it’s home to Malta’s largest Sunday market. You’ll find everything from casual and affordable restaurants to excellent fine dining, all within walking distance, making it a great place to experience authentic local life with a comfortable, tourist-friendly feel.
