I booked this place via Expedia but it was a Vrbo place.
The description was good, although it turned out to be one of the hottest days in London ever.
It came with a fan which was struggling to keep me cool but was manageable, till I wondered why the small bathroom was so hot. The towel heater was on full blast and I couldn't turn it off.
Complaining to the host, I got a reply after 4 hours via email. Then went through a cat and mouse game of taking pictures, sending it via email. Them not seeing it and replying saying they can't see the attachment. Finally I shared them on a google photo private album and was blown away with questions which clearly showed they have never been to the property.
Who would be foolish enough to leave the windows open on a ground floor flat with open bins outside the windows? London has a rat problem and having seen cats and birds picking through them, there was no way I was entertaining sleeping with animals running around the flat or worst still someone trying to steal my luggage while I slept.
A handy man was called and arrived 6 hours after I originally complained. He tried to fix it by taking out the fuse but it made zero difference. I took matters into my own hands with it being late and left the room with little sleep early in the morning only returning to take my bag later.
Awful experience. I had to complain and its important to always use the Expedia/Vrbo system to talk not whatsapp or email which the hosts encourage you to use.
