For more adventurous visitors, Bude plays a big part in the surfing community due to its nearby beaches, such as Widemouth Bay, Sandymouth and Crooklets, which are all within 3 miles of Wooldown. As a result, there is an excellent choice of surf schools, and other activities in the proximity include zorbing, abseiling, rock climbing, kayaking, open canoeing, golf, fishing and horse riding.
