The palace is a wonderful place to spend a day, with the palace itself being open to visitors, as well as offering extensive gardens, wooded grounds, an adventure playground, and a fun maze. Crossing the River Tay, Perth is a vibrant city, which is not only great for shopping, but also has a number of museums and places of interest including Perth Museum and Art Gallery, Balhousie Castle, and a gallery dedicated to the work of local artist John Fergusson.
