We had such a wonderful stay here! Such beautiful surroundings and sweet little cottage which has everything you needed to feel at home. Vast woods only 3 mins walks away, and all the birds and red squirrels were simply enchanting! We would love to come to Little Puddockwells again

We received a lovely, warm welcome to this beautiful cottage in a beautiful spot. Wildlife and tranquility right there, with walks and straight from the front door. We’ll definitely be back :)
We really enjoyed our stay in Little Puddockwells. This charming cottage is well- equipped, spotlessly clean and certainly big enough for two. Lots to do and see in the area. Very friendly host.

A highly recommended property and location to stay if you are wanting peace and tranquility.
The hosts were very helpful from start to finish as we experienced some awful weather driving up to the cottage.

Hi Tim, thank you for your lovely review and I am so glad you enjoyed our beautiful cottage and area. Andrea
The accommodation was superb:- the cottage was spotless and there everything you needed for a five day stay or even longer. The setting was delightful from the squirrels to the pheasants strolling through the garden. The owners were great: helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely recommend this stay to others and hopefully we will go back. Thanks to the Cox family

What a lovely review! Thank you! I'm glad you had such a lovely experience at Little Puddockwells and hopefully we will meet again.
We have just returned from our week's stay at Little Puddockswell Cottage. The cottage was situated in a beautiful area with Dunkeld and Blairgowrie not to far away. We were met by Andrea who was a really lovely host.
The cottage was so well equipped with everything you needed, it also had its own resident squirrels which my son and grandson loved to watch eating the nuts every morning and evening. We had such a wonderful stay and will definitely book to stay again in the near future.

What a lovely review. Thank you! It was a pleasure meeting you all and I’m very happy you have booked again for next year.
This was the first stop on our first visit to Scotland and it could not have been better. The cottage, Little Pudockwells, is nicely renovated stone cottage situated on a farm a few miles outside the village of Dunkeld. After walking some of the many woodland trails in the area and dining in Dunkeld it was great to retreat to our quiet cottage and listen to the birds sing.

What a lovely review Thank you! It is indeed a little piece of heaven
We had a wonderful stay at Little Puddockwells Cottage which had all the amenities needed to the week.
Owner super helpful and easily contactable.
Immediate surroundings perfect for walking our dog.
We can see why Dunkeld has been voted the best town in Scotland to live. The Taybank pub serves excellent food with a large dinning room upstairs and small cosy pub (often with live fiddle and accordion music) downstairs. Dogs are most welcome. They also have a large beer garden leading down to the Tay.
Aran Bakery also a must visit.
Stay at Puddockwells and you won’t regret it!

Relax in peaceful surroundings
We have been returning to this comfortable, comprehensively equipped cottage for several years. Its delightful, peaceful situation provides a variety of interesting walks from its own front door, and there is enough information in the cottage to suggest no end of trips further affield, according to taste. The whole area gives an excellent introduction to the Highlands of Scotland. Dunkeld has a good range of eating places and there are plenty of other choices nearby. A friendly and helpful owner completews what is an excellent package. Highly recommended.

Thank you Alison and Terry for your review. It is always good to see you at Little Puddockwells and we know how much you enjoy the peace and quiet while watching the wildlife all around. When you visit in Spring each year, we know the ospreys must have returned to nearby Loch of the Lowes Scottish Wildlife Trust Reserve.
I look forward to welcoming you again in August.
With kind regards.
Andrea
If you like solitude this holiday cottage is perfrct
Excellent communication with the owners prior to arrival meant check in was seamless (be aware that if you arrive in the dark the house signage isn’t easy to read). The cottage is warm and comfortable with everything you would need for a home from home self catering holiday. The cottage is placed at the end of an unmade up road and was so quiet (perfect for our reactionary rescue dog). It would have helped if a small section of the outside area was fenced off to let our dog out off lead. In the summer views from the outside of the cottage must be wonderful but in the winter there is less to see from inside the cottage. Our only other request would be for some more floor protection and hooks for wet and muddy boots and waterproof clothing. All in all a good value cottage and one we would use again.

Jederzeit wieder.
Genau richtig für eine kleine Familie. Perfekter Ort für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Tolle Möglichkeit Tiere zu beobachten (Eichhörnchen im Garten und Seeadler am Loch of the Lowes). Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Gastgeberin.

About the host
Hosted by Andrea Cox
We are a family of 5. I am a teacher, my husband is a Director at Landrover Experience Scotland and we have 3 grown up children. We have lived in Dunkeld since 1997 and just love living in such a beautiful part of Highland Perthshire.
Why they chose this property
The cottage is next door to us and we completely renovated it by taking it back to the 4 stone walls and starting again. It is now a modern, cosy cottage with all mod cons and wonderful views over the beautiful countryside. My husband was born and lived in this area until he was 18 and it was lovely returning to the area to live as a family in 1997.
What makes this property unique
The scenery and absolute peace and quiet while watching and listening to the wildlife around.
