A luxurious apartment in a quiet place in the middle of the forest

After our highly appreciated and beloved villa Casa le Pigne, (ref 607748, 100+ 5 stars reviews), we have opened since 2018 nearby a beautiful vacation opportunity : a wonderful restored 17th century Podere (Farm) with 5 comfortable 1 and 2 BR apartments :The Podere LA VALLE.

Our Podere is 40 minutes away from Florence and 30 min from Siena. The nearest village (Castellina in Chianti) is 7km far. You find there a small supermarket, groceries, wineshops, banks, ATM, and 8 restaurants.

The 150 ha property gives opportunity for many walks along the aromatic plants fields and in the forest, as well the discovery of the Tuscan wilderness.

The Podere offers all you have dreamed on : a large pool (14x6m), a spa (Jacuzzi, IR Sauna and Steam bath), 120ha forest and the Tuscany at your feet.

High level of comfort in the Countryside: lovely garden with 2 bbq, petanque and walks in the forest. The weather allows to use the external, swimming Pool from mid may to mid October, the Spa (Jacuzzi, IR Sauna and Steam bath) all the year round.

Every appartement has antique furnitures, comfortable beds, 1 or 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, WIFI, open fire, and floor heating. NEW for more convenience : usb outlets in any bedroom !

Appartement BELVEDERE is a luxurious apartment with antique furnitures and fully equipped kitchen. 2 large Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, a large living room with open fire, and a mezzanine floor over the Living, opening on a charming low ceiling attic 3rd bedroom. The Kids love it !.

Located on the first Floor of the old farm, it give you a nice view on the surroundings. You will use one of the different places outside to have dinner in summer time.

Beautiful apartment in the middle of Chianti country.

Wonderful apartment with a beautiful pool and plenty of lovely grounds to walk. A perfect site to enjoy the treats and sights of Chianti. Really enjoyed staying here and would definitely return in the future.

A gem in Tuscany

A special place in Tuscany. Everything is great, from the host to accommodation to location. A wonderful stay close to many attractions in the area yet far away to allow you to be amazed by the beauty of Tuscany. Facilities are great.

Fantastic place

We had a wonderful stay at Podere La Valle. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet and the place is beautifully remodeled. The pool is great and the sauna is such a nice extra. The location is perfect for day trips to Siena and Florence. We were looking forward to come back to this relaxing environment after a day of sightseeing. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful, peaceful, perfectly located

This property is well cared for and has everything you could need. The pool was great for my young children and the location was ideal for day trips into Florence and Siena or even dinners and strolls in smaller, more nearby towns. Of all of our great experiences on our Italian vacation, this is the one place we stayed where we said "we will be back!" Jerome was a great host. The property, apartment, spa and pool were all top notch. The location was great. Close enough to Castellina in Chianti (as well as delicious wineries), but also nice and remote. We highly recommend this place!

A piece of heaven in Tuscany

My sister and I had an amazingly relaxing stay here. Jerome has taken years to painstakingly restore the property and the result is a stunning place nestled in Chianti forests with a fabulous pool and a luxurious spa in the cellar. You will need a car and self-cater.

1) Very good location between Florence (45 min) and Sienna (35 mins) if you are interested in frequenting museums 2) No problems with heating, warm water and functionality. So very comfortable (one has to value it in a tuscan villa) 3) Great sauna zone for relaxation (used every day) 4) Multiple vineyards within 10 minutes ride)

We had the 3 bedroom property, with the children staying the loft room. Stairs to the loft room are narrow and open so one to think about. Other than that, great accommodation, location, pool, and indoor spa / pool. Would return.

Unique, peaceful experience

My 3 sisters and I stayed here for 4 nights. We LOVED the tranquil setting. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath accommodations were very comfortable. Jasmina was gracious and helped us whenever we needed. A special treat was our massage with Rosa. It was a perfect ending to our trip to Tuscany. Jerome was speedy in replying to any request we had and supplied a great list of recommendations while there. My heart is joyous whenever I reflect on my time at this special place! Serene location

We had a wonderful week long stay in the Belvedere apartment. Apartment was well equipped and clean with plenty of space for 3 adults and 4 children. The villa is beautiful and in the most tranquil area within a short driving distance to picturesque towns and cities in Tuscany. The pool area was clean and well maintained and we spent a few evenings enjoying the spa facilities. The august weather was beautiful but the lack of air conditioning could be quite uncomfortable in the apartment. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return on our next trip to Italy

Great location to run away from civilization

Great communication with the host - also if problems occur, the host (Jerome) is eager to solve them quickly!The farmhouse has been rennovated and is at a very good standard - kitchen has everything being needed, sleeping rooms are regular, bathrooms offer everything you need. Good WiFi Connection at the site.To be aware about: - if you are afraid of animals (stink bugs) you might be carefule which room to choose - we were in the largest arpartment (Belvedere) and had bugs (beside closed windows) every day in one of the bedrooms, living room and bath rooms - Heating was not working properly, but with the fire place we were able to keep everyone warm. We also got a generator from Jerome very quickly. Afterall, great location, specially my parents will come back!

Beautiful Tuscan Villa

We had a lovely visit to Tuscany while staying in the Podere La Valle Villa. Plenty of room and privacy for two couples. No TV but we didn’t miss it. The grounds are nice and the spa is added bonus. Lots of steps around the complex but not difficult. The coffee machine , which required a short walk from our unit, was awesome. We didn’t experience the walking trails because of the rainy weather in Feb. but they looked like fun. Pretty views. There is a washer and dryer but it also required going out of the unit and around the building. Location was fabulous for visiting the area. Castellina has lots to offer.

My Name is Jerome GLORIE, i love Tuscany where i come and stay since 40 years. I'm 67y, father of 2 daughters. We grow 3,5 ha of aromatic plants around the farmhouse, we distillate them and produce essential oils and hydrosols. I live 1/2 here, 1/2 in Brussels, Belgium.

Why they chose this property

The Podere La Valle exhale a exciting historical smell : 1000 years ago pilgrims travelled the property and rest in a small "hospital" (visible ruins 300m from the house).
In the forest you will see wild boards and roes. Nice views on the Chianti landscape, one of the most beautiful in Europe.

What makes this property unique

The Podere is a jewel in this area. very comfortable accommodation, fit for everybody, from a young couple with kids, family or less fit people.
