Sun Valley Condo Rental Photos and Description

Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Loft with 2 single beds, 2 Baths

No better location in Sun Valley! Snowcreek is right next door to Dollar Mountain and Carol’s Lodge, and just a short stroll along Dollar Road to the main Sun Valley Lodge, shops, restaurants, ice rink and entertainment. Free Kart bus leaves from Carol's every 20 minutes for Baldy during ski season. Free Kart City bus provides regular service from Dollar to Ketchum, Warm Springs, and Elkhorn year-round. The regional bike path runs along the edge of the complex. Walk or ride to Ketchum for coffee, or ride some of the 48 miles of trail to Hailey or Bellevue for lunch. Two (2) bikes come with this rental - available for your use.

Snowcreek 1523 is a beautiful, remodeled second floor flat, with vaulted ceilings, hardwood and carpeted floors, designer furnished mountain décor, large deck, and views of Baldy, Dollar and the Resort area. The newly completed, expansive deck with outdoor grill makes for wonderful summertime entertainment, as you watch the sun set over the mountains. Perpendicular to the road for privacy, yet located directly across from the Clubhouse and pool for easy access. Yes, this is the Sun Valley area condominiums with their own pool and hot tub!

If you haven't been to Snowcreek before, all units are not the same. Choose upstairs with vaulted ceilings for spaciousness and a loft. Skylights were optional and we have two to bring natural light in. Make sure your unit has an expanded deck, so you can enjoy outdoor living (many rentals still have original, narrow decks). You'll find Baldy and Dollar views here, not just a view of the road or parking lot.

Walk in, sink back and just relax. King and Queen bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, are located either side of hallway, which opens into an inviting, inclusive living room with river rock, gas fireplace, entertainment center, dining area, and kitchen. Step out the living room slider to the deck area; smell the clean air and hear the rustle of the pines and aspens. Loft, with two twin beds, is above kitchen and securely enclosed with nicely inclined stairs and a latched gate for the safety of children (all other inside and outside deck railings have also been replaced for a safer, more child-friendly environment).

If you’ve been to Sun Valley before, you already understand the beauty of this location; winter and summer. If you haven’t, read on.

For skiers, it’s only a few minutes to the big mountain, and the bus will be there when you are ready to come home; no parking and no walking hassles. If you have children or beginners just learning to ski, you can walk them across the parking lot to arguably the best ski school in North America at Dollar, where they will be taken care of professionally for the day, you can catch the bus to make your own runs down the 3,400 vertical feet of alpine terrain on Baldy, then come back and make a couple of runs with them on Dollar, before walking home together.

If you’re really good, make arrangements for cat- or heli-skiing. On other days, take a skate at the Lodge rink, use the many miles of groomed cross country trails, or walk over to Penny Hill for traditional sledding and tubing (there are two sleds for your use). Later take a horse drawn sleigh ride to Trail Creek Cabin for dinner.

In the summer, Snowcreek has the only on-property pool and hot tub in this area; just walk across the drive to the clubhouse and you're there! Bike, roller blade, or just walk the adjacent trail, hit the links, throw a fly, or anything else that strikes your fancy; you can even take a bike up the lift and ride down the mountain! Don’t miss World and Olympic medalists performing on the outdoor rink from mid-June through Labor Day, the 'Big Hitch' during Labor Day’s wagon parade, the Summer Symphony and October Jazz Festival, both with world-renown players, and while your in town, a Sun Valley Brunch or Buffet.

Be our guest and enjoy our home away from home. We’ll leave you information on all our favorites!

*** Childcare - We can provide contact information for local childcare sitters ***

About Nancy and Dale

Seattle-ite's, now in Olympia, who have been coming to Sun Valley for years. This is our second home and we hope you will feel 'at home' while you are visiting with us. We have a number of families that come back year-after-year, and we hope you will join them.

Nancy and Dale purchased this condo in 2007

Why Nancy and Dale chose Sun Valley Area

Location, location, location,... and amenities. We 'shopped' the Valley when looking for a place, and found none better. Close to the Lodge, close to Dollar, on the bus line, on the bike trail... has it's own pool, and always well taken care of by its owner group. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.

What makes this condo unique

Not just a rental condo - this our second home, and we hope you will find it attractive, fully furnished and 'comfy' for your visit.

The whole package!

  • 5 of 5

We come to Sun Valley almost every summer and Snowcreek is our complex of choice. It's a quick walk to Sun Valley Village, a relaxing stroll to Ketchum, a few steps to the free town bus stop, and has it's own pool. We've stayed in many of the Snowcreek units but Nancy and Dale"s condo has to be one of the best. It's graciously but comfortably furnished, the kitchen is well appointed, there is both a king and queen bed, and after a week long road trip we especially appreciated the washer and dryer! Although we love the Snowcreek units, many are quite dark. This unit has a couple skylights and the ceiling is a light color so the room feels bright even on a stormy day.

Nancy and Dale were quick to respond to questions and provided us with multiple phone numbers in case of any problems. Although there were only two of us, we'd certainly consider this condo for a larger group. Between the large living room and deck area, two bedrooms and a loft, there is plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.

Close to town and sun valley resort. Clean. Comfortable. Pool across the parking lot.

  • 4 of 5

The location was great. It was close to town and Sun Valley resort. Also close to the bike/walking trail that leads to town.

The kids loved swimming in the pool, which was located just across the parking lot from the condo.

The condo was really nice and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals. There were some toys for the kids to play with, which they were excited about. They also had fun sleeping in the 2 beds in the loft. The only downside of this was that we couldn't be out in the living room when they were in bed because they could hear the TV or us talking and it kept them awake. Overall though, it was a great place and we would recommend it.

Sun Valley Resort Snowcreek Condo Rental #123876

  • 5 of 5

I can not say enough about how nice and perfectly situated this condo is -- within walking distance to Sun Valley Lodge and village as well as Dollar Mountain lifts, yet very peaceful and quiet. Unlike a lot of VRBO rentals, this one is immaculate, the decor and furnishings are super up-to-date and comfortable, and the owners throw in amenities galore (like 2 bikes that are worth at least $50 a day, and generous amounts of towels, toilet paper, soap, cleaning products, etc., etc. Rental includes access to the clubhouse right next door, which not only features a pool, hot tub and sauna, but also a large lounge area with TV, reading materials and ping-pong table. I will definitely be back -- as this unit is, by far, the best bang and value for your buck among Snowcreek condo rentals.

Not a good stay in the summer.

  • 2 of 5

The kitchen / living room area of this condo are attractive. Apart from that, we did not enjoy our stay and would not book this property again.

Our summer stay was HOT and uncomfortable.. There is no AC. There are a couple of fans, but the big black one is broken and needs to be replaced. There are very few windows to open and only ONE window actually has a screen to keep out insects. Since you're on the ground floor, if you keep windows open you don't feel as though you have much privacy or security from intruders.

The front patio had NO lawn chairs/ furniture to sit on. Therefore, we were unable to enjoy our view of the Burger King directly across the street. The rear bedroom window looks out on a brick wall. The blinds in the bedroom are crappy and we found it impossible to get then shut all the way. There's an ugly little "courtyard" back there, which is more like a 8 x 8 square alley.

Many of the interior walls consist of painted cement blocks, which resembles common construction in old schools and churches. It's ugly and not "homey."

In addition, the closets were not orderly. Towels and sheets and other items appeared to be shoved there haphazardly, rather than being stacked neatly.

Our covered parking spot was so tiny that we found it useless. If you've got a small car, you'd probably be okay.

The location is okay. It was a long walk (2 miles?) to the historic strip of Park City. There is a Starbucks and a shopping center/ grocery store across the street. The grounds and the pool are pretty nice.

Overall, we were mostly miserable here during our summer visit because we couldn't get any airflow (lack of windows) and we couldn't sit outside where it was 15 degrees cooler (no patio furniture.) The thermometer inside the apartment consistently read 80 degrees the whole time we were there and it didn't really cool off at night.

Maybe if you're here to ski in the winter, this would work better for you.

Owner's Response: We are an upper level condo with beautiful lodge quality deck furniture and large sun umbrella. All windows have screens and are in good condition, there is no air conditioning and it can be hot in the summer. I will check our fans at the next opportunity. The wall construction is lovely rustic wood, not cement block (as you can see in the photos). The location is excellent, near the Sun Valley Lodge, walking distance 1/4 mile, NOT as the reviewer noted, a 2 mile walk to the "historic strip of Park City". The view is of Baldy Mountain and the property adjoins the world class Dollar Mountain Ski Area/Lodge, NOT "Burger King". I doubt that there is a Burger King within a 100 mile radius!?? It's unfortunate that this renter had a disappointing vacation, the majority of this review seems to be directed at another property/area. Feel free to call the owners if you have any questions, we are happy to assist and want your stay to be a good one:)
