Serenity Cottage in Southern Vermont…

Built on the foundation of the original barn of an 1830s farmhouse, this cottage offers you 1,200 square feet of tranquility all year around. Hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, ice skating, skiing, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, golf, and, of course, fall leaf peeping is at your doorstep. Or venture no farther than the windows and skylights to view spectacular sunrises, wildlife, Vermont’s iconic moonlight, and stellar stargazing. Mount Snow (26 miles) and Stratton Mountain (32 miles) are less than an hour's scenic drive, and Brattleboro's Living Memorial Park offers a mini-ski lift for winter family fun.

You’ll enjoy the open flow downstairs with a large kitchen, living room, and dining area. An office/study, equipped with a pull out queen-sized sofa for extra bed space, and a combination half bath/laundry room with washer/dryer complete the first floor. Upstairs, two spacious bedrooms (queen and twin beds) with skylights and ample closet space bookend a large complete bath.

Serenity Cottage offers plenty of privacy, with its own yard, framed by woods and a rock garden. A lily garden brightens the front, which also features original stone walls and century-old apple trees. Putney Road conveniences, I-91, and the enticements of Brattleboro are within minutes, yet remain a world apart. We're dog friendly.

Lovely stay!

This is a lovely cottage in a great location. We enjoyed being in a quiet, well-appointed place with close proximity to restaurants and attractions. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

Beautiful first time in VT

Daughter and I came to Brattleboro for a visit with brother/son. Serenity Cottage is situated in middle of locations we would visit. We really enjoyed waking up & sitting outside for morning quiet time. Next we’d take a walk & loved the beautiful area. So quiet, peaceful and relaxing! Brattleboro downtown has some really cute shops too!

Cozy Cottage

The cottage was just perfect! Larger and even nicer than I'd anticipated. The property is well cared for and well appointed. It's only about 10 minutes from downtown Brattleboro, but feels very private and there is a waterfall on the way in off the main road! The bedrooms have huge skylights and the whole place feels roomy, bright, and cozy.

We had a great stay in your cabin!

We absolutely fell in love with your place! You had everything there that we could possibly need. We are also very happy that you allow the pets to enjoy a little getaway. We would like to stay there again sometime. I just wanted to point out that the ticks are crazy out of control and would suggest that you have the yard sprayed and/or treated in some way.

Delightful space

A cozy and relaxing getaway in Vermont. Loved secluded feeling yet still quick drive to activities. My only recommendation to guests is to bring eye masks for sleeping if they are sensitive to light. The sun shines into the bedrooms in the morning ( it’s beautiful but if you want more sleep you’ll be happy you brought an eye mask)

We love staying at Serenity Cottage. We come here at least twice a year with our mom and our dogs. It is beautiful and peaceful with amazing views. The cottage has everything we need, feels like home away from home. Phil and Lesley are wonderful hosts. We are very grateful to have found such a special little place in Vermont. Thank you

Charming cottage, clean and well maintained. Host responded in a timely manner to emails. I don't know who the quilter is, but there were some beautiful quilts. The cottage had all the comforts of home and we the antique furniture added to the charm. Plenty of space for parking, quiet area; the only thing missing was we didn't see any moose :-). We will definately book here again when we are in the ares.
