2 Bedroom / 2 bath Cabin - Moreno's Cottages Celebrating 100 years!

Our cottages are clean and well kept. Situated on 3 acres, surrounded by forever wild state land- hike Scarface Mountain right from your door! Adjacent to the new ADK Rail Trail recently opened to biking, running, walking, skiing, snowmobiles and more. We offer free wi-fi, ,bonfire fire pits, picnic tables and grills. Conveniently located between Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Come see why our guests have returned year after year since 1923! Open May - October. Sorry, no pets.

The space:
Cottage #4 has a queen bed in each of the 2 bedrooms and a love seat sized sofa bed. It also has a full kitchen with pots pans and dinnerware, as well as, 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms have stand up showers. Sleeps up to 5 people. There is solid wifi throughout the property, and we offer TV with Hulu, Disney and ESPN+ channels.

We are a family business that takes pride in our property. We keep our cabins CLEAN and well maintained. We are only 5 minutes in either direction from Lake Placid and Saranac lake. Located right off highway 86 past the Maplefields, but our property is quiet and peaceful. Walk to Maplefields for food and beverage, Ray Brook Brewing Company, Tail O' the Pup outdoor barbecue, the ADK Rail Trail, Jack Rabbit Trail. A short drive to Lake Flower, the Saranac Lake chain, Oseetah and Kiwassa lakes, water sports, Olympic attractions, Whiteface Mountain and all that the region has to offer.

Guest access:
We have free Wifi with access point in each cabin throughout the property. There are charcoal grills for each cabin, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, fire pits, and horseshoes all free for our guests to use. We sell firewood on the property as well. Parking is plentiful and free. There is a gas station in walking distance that carries groceries, sandwiches, beer, ice , etc.

History of the Property:
Moreno's cottages was founded by Tessie and Tony Moreno in1923. Uncle Tony built this property by hand over the years and Aunt Tessie ran the business with discipline and hard work. The Drake family, with 2 parents and 4 teenage children, is the newest owner of this historic vacation destination since 2021. Todd & Leigh work constantly to make changes or additions to the property to make our guests' stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This rental was perfect for our weekend getaway to Lake Placid. The property owners were more than accommodating to our late arrival and the cabin was exactly as described with a combined kitchen/living room and 2 master suites. We will definitely be back!!

Rustic Cabin

Rustic Cabin, small, no outlets in the bathrooms, TV did did not work. Very tight quarters. Make sure you contact the owner before arriving. There is NO HOST on the premises. Good for campers, outdoor people, but for an event, not a good idea to stay in a rustic Cabin. Location is beautiful, great food and brewery walking distance. It is a distance from Lake Placid

Thank you for staying with us. The Owner IS LOCAL and just not infringing on Guest's private time on vacation. our cottages were built in 1923, when small bathroom in cabins were not a concern. The guest is correct - we are not modern, we are intentionally rustic style, clean and functional cabins with comfy beds, and all the outdoor amenities you might need. One note - if a guest has a concern with the television, he or she should report that to us so that we can assist - which we will gladly do and right away! This guest did not report any concerns to us at all. Cheers, Todd & Leigh

It is a quiet, camp like setting perfect for launching local outdoor adventures, access to two villages with world-class restaurants, shopping and Olympic attractions, and relaxing with friends and family away from the hustle and bustle.
