Step into the Rising Wolf - The great room has a high vaulted ceiling and offers a panoramic view of the wildflower field at the base of the Rocky Mountains, perfect for watching wildlife that cross through the property on a daily basis. And don't just watch from inside, the outside deck is nestled into a large garden and offers comfortable seating and a gas grill for barbeque dinners on warm evenings. The kitchen is fully updated, offers new appliances for any of your cooking needs, and features custom designed cabinetry by Carl, as well as an open layout into the dining room and living room that lets you visit and keep an eye on everyone while you prepare your meals.

All rooms are furnished with high quality, comfortable seating, making it a perfect place to put your feet up at the end of a long day. The unit also has everything for your entertainment needs, including a stereo, satellite wide-screen HDTV, and DVD, along with a supply of movies to choose from for the whole family. The two bedrooms each have their own full private bathroom, with full tub and shower. You can choose between the bedroom with two luxurious queen beds, and the bedroom that offers a king size bed. Each bedroom also has sliding glass doors that open up to a second patio, and offer access to a wide lawn, and breathtaking views of the Eastern Rocky Mountain Skyline that make it ideal for watching the famous Big Sky Montana sunsets. This unit offers the unique advantage of being the only unit in the lodge where you can watch both the sunrise and the sunset from your private outdoor decks, making everyday a memorable stay.

The property provided a good location for visiting the East side of GNP. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking our meals, the beds were comfy, and the porch was good for relaxing after a tiring day of hiking. Overall, I would highly recommend The Rising Wolf!

We had an amazing stay!! Our family of 4 stayed in the Rising Wolf unit. It was spacious and clean with a well equipped kitchen, outdoor bbq and washer and dryer in the unit. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed using the lawn games and being about 25 minutes from trailheads in the Two Medicine area.

Extremely clean. Well-appointed kitchen should you desire to eat in. We were traveling with another couple so it was nice having en-suite full baths with each bedroom. Loved sitting on deck watching wildlife or star-gazing (and enjoyed our visits with the friendly cat,George). Perfect location for access to the east side of Glacier. Carl and Leslie were perfect hosts….were never intrusive but very responsive if you needed anything..and were very knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Stay at Rising Wolf Lodge

Our stay was wonderful. Leslie met us as we arrived and showed us around the unit. She was very nice. The unit was just as advertised. Everything couldn't have been better. We definitely recommend Rising Wolf Lodge and will stay there again next time we visit Glacier NP.

The property was excellent! The views were amazing. Owners were friendly and helpful. We liked its close proximity to East Glacier Village and the entrances on the east side of Glacier National Park. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The beds were comfortable. It provided us everything we needed for our visit to GNP. If we come back to GNP it will be our go to place to stay again.

A heavenly place to stay

This home was so warm and has all the ammenities one could ask for. The location is ideal and has a picturesque view of Two Medicine mountains as a backdrop. sitting on the deck watching the sunset is so beautiful and relaxing.

Carl and Leslie Haggar have lived in East Glacier for over forty years. They love hiking in Glacier Park in the summer and skiing the nearby mountain trails in the winter. Carl is also an avid fisherman and hunter, and loves to share his stories about recreating in this beautiful country. They built a successful woodworking business, manufacturing wooden kitchen products, such as bread knives, cutting boards, and recipe boxes. They have since sold the business, but Carl continues to put his woodworking skills to work by creating cabinets and furniture for their vacation rental. They love to share their favorite haunts with their visitors, and are very knowledgeable about trails, streams, and lakes in the Glacier Park area.

Why they chose this property

We came here in 1978 to work - and fell in love with the area. We build our home and raised our children here - and love sharing the treasure that we have found. Our property is just outside the southeast boundary of Glacier National Park, and is quick fifteen minute drive to the Two Medicine Entrance. You can access most of the park in an easy drive, which makes our place the ideal location for a Glacier Park adventure.

What makes this property unique

Our property has breathtaking views of Glacier Park peaks, surrounded by meadows of wildflowers, under a wide Montana sky. It is quiet and country, but not too far from conveniences like restaurants, shops, and activities. We are happy to point you in the direction of our favorite eateries, hikes, and activities. Our horses are usually nearby, and enjoy taking a carrot or an apple from a willing guest.
