Our comfortable renovated 1000 sq. ft., 1½ story traditional mountain cabin provides a restful and unique setting to enjoy your mountain vacation and renew your spirit. The house is located on the perimeter of Yellow Branch Farm, a working dairy farm (since 1986), and creamery. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm and garden. While the lowing of cows and the call of the farmer may be heard at the milking hour, the location is quiet with an occasional car, farm vehicle, or pedestrian passing by. Yellow Branch Pottery, a working pottery studio is located at the bottom of the drive and open to visitors.
The spacious downstairs of this cabin includes a great room with vaulted ceiling, an open, well-stocked, compact galley kitchen and dining area. The renovations include handcrafted wormy chestnut cabinets, a smattering of antiques and eclectic furnishings accented by lively, fun accessories. Also downstairs is a bedroom with double bed, a sitting room with DVD player, desk, and lots of movies. The full bathroom with tub/shower is also located on the main level. The upper floor is an open loft with queen bed and sitting area.
The pastoral setting includes a spacious deck and covered front porch for relaxing outside. A Weber grill available for use as well as a fire pit.
For those that love the lake life- Fontana Lake is down the road about a 1/2 mile with swimming and boat access seasonally so bring your canoe or kayak!
Also, there is Fontana Village and marina, and Stecoah Valley Center nearby as well just to name a few things.
