Very cozy & spacious cabin
A lovely place in a tucked-away corner of the White Mountains. Our family had a great stay here & had fun playing in the snow & sitting by the fire.
Thanks for coming to the log house! So glad you enjoyed sliding on the hill and the fireplace. Thanks for refilling the firewood box, too. I hope you got a chance to watch the stars, what a clear open sky out there!
Beautiful old home and wonderful owners
We loved staying here. The log cabin was so neat and well maintained. The old oven and lamps were a big hit with the kids. We were a little worried that it might be drafty and cold but it was well winterized so warm and cozy and quiet even during a pretty good sleet storm. The kitchen had decent cooking utensils and the beds were super comfortable.
We even locked ourselves out and the owner came right over to let us back in. She was so nice and helpful.
The only downside was that we had no cell phone reception (arg t-mobile) and there’s no WiFi so it’s great to unplug but bad for coordination when we went skiing.
Wouldn’t think twice about recommending or staying again.
This cabin is ideal place to be! Fireplace and porch are excellent.
Nice place to snowshoe up river, hike up hill to see more mountains! The log cabin is authentic and fireplace is wonderful. We will be back for our 3rd year in 2019!!!
Thank you for coming , enjoying yourselves and being such neat guests! We appreciate you too and think you might like to hang out there in the summer some time!
Beautiful log cabin, it absolutely exceeded the photo’s.
We had an absolute awesome time staying in the cabin with our two boys and two dogs. The boys went sledding, we played board games in front of the log fire it was everything we were looking for. Carol was the perfect host, allowing us to check in early and also going the extra mile to post the dog leashes we left back to us. We will most certainly be going back!!
Thank you for your kind comments. It was delightful to have you visit, and we were glad to hear the kids had a good time sliding on the hill. Lots of snow this year so far. Of course we are happy to send back the leashes! Thanks too for leaving the house in excellent condition! Perhaps we'll see you in the future! My favorite season in the Whites is summer, hiking, swimming! Best regards.
A wonderful weekend getaway!
My wife, adult daughter, beagle and myself has a wonderful two day getaway to this log home. Carol and Ken were very responsive to us and everything was just as advertised and promised. It was a cold snowy weekend and was just perfect, the mountain views out the front windows were beautiful, the fireplace was a highlight. The cabin was warm and Carol and Ken worked hard to be sure the oil heat was working perfectly. We found it fun to explore all of the rooms of this spacious cabin. The cost was very reasonable especially for ski season and we look forward to going back again sometime!
Such a great cabin to stay in. Cozy for two (and the dog) and room for the whole family too!
Would love to come back!
Ski: Loon Mountain is a short ten-minute drive. Cannon Mountain is 15 miles. Bretton Woods and Waterville Valley are about 45 minutes from the cabin. Cross country skiing from the door. Golf: 18-hole resort course is 10 minutes away.
