Very nice cabin in great location

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has a lot of room, and is in a great location for hiking and river swimming. Very quiet, with nice views. A great get away!

Owner's Response: Thank you for coming to the log cabin and enjoying the peace here! We're delighted you had a good vacation. The area does have lots of swimming holes and lakes and the White Mountains are renown for its many trails, easy to difficult. Leaves are just beginning to turn reds, yellows, and the fireplace is cosy.

Cosy and secluded

  • 5 of 5

We had really high hopes for our break in this cottage, so were pleasantly surprised to find our expectations exceeded. The cottage is even prettier and cosier than the pictures make it seem. The house is brilliantly laid out, such that it would work for a couple, or a family, or two families to share. The living area is wonderful, and that fire is a spectacular centrepiece. My husband and I were desperate for some peace and privacy after working flat out after Christmas and this was exactly what we needed. The location is a perfect blend of seclusion and convenience. Carol and her husband were helpful and communicative leading up to the break, but respected our privacy during it, which was perfect. My only hesitation in recommending it is that it is so nice a place and such incredible value that we don't want others to know about it!

Getaway from it all

  • 5 of 5

This property was great! Most people would consider this cabin rustic without WiFi and cable but this was exactly what my family was looking for! This cabin is large yet cozy! Fireplace was nice on a cold weekend with plenty of fire wood supplied! Our kids enjoyed the hills for sledding and open areas for making snowmen! We even had a mother and baby dear that stayed around all weekend. Lots of amenities on site, we usually pack everything and were delighted to see a lot of your basic items were their.( ex. Spices, shampoos, sunblock, hairdryer and many more!)Their was even a full piano! The small musicians could not get enough of it! Owners were great! Their if you needed them and gave us privacy when we didn't. What wasn't mentioned in their description: the beautiful river at the bottom of the driveway! We loved it here and will definitely be back! Thanks for having us!
