I picked this property because of its proximity to the lake and bring in the woods. I was searching for quiet, private, and solitude. The Little House in the Woods did not disappoint. It was a perfect retreat for me. I spent a lot of time knitting on the back deck and enjoying the wildlife as well as resting on the dock. The cabin is the perfect size for two. The quaint kitchen was just the right size and has all the appliances you need. The bathroom is cute and has an old fashioned toilet and corner sink as well as a shower. There is also a jacuzzi.If you want to go to town or out for dinner it’s about 20 min drive but it doesn’t seem like it. There is lots to do around from hiking to shopping to zip lines to animal parks and more. Great communication with host. She provided specific directions a few days before my stay which was very helpful. Host lives on the property but privacy was respected. Can’t wait to go back.

Beautiful lakefront property, welcoming host and adorable cabin. We traveled in late at night and. Cheryl helped us with directions. It is remote and the drive I would say requires an SUV of sorts due to rugged road terrain.Once there, it couldn’t be more perfect! We had a lovely fire one night and enjoyed walks along the lake. We are so grateful, the host allowed our dogs who LOVED the lake!! It’s definitely worth the stay!!

We enjoyed our stay. Pet friendly as we traveled this time with the dogs. The Host is laid back and easy to rent from. The lake is beautiful. The listings should mention the hiking as it is a massive property there, my knee was out this trip so I did not get to adventure out much, however this place has amazing trails and rock formations just outside the cabin. The deer on this property come right up to the deck and I loved it. It was peaceful and beautiful. The only downside is the road to get there and distance from town as the local roads in the area are all curves and low speeds so it does take longer than expected to get around.

Where do I even begin? This little cabin in the woods was exactly what I was looking for!The cabin had every amenity I needed—air conditioning, a shower and toiletries, coffee, a refrigerator, stovetop, Jacuzzi tub, TV, and DVD player. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the patio was absolutely perfect, complete with a fan. Every morning, we enjoyed our coffee while waiting for the deer to come by.I’m a super busy person, so I rarely get the chance to truly enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. The dark-sky setting was amazing, and the easy access to the lake was perfect for paddling. The water was so clear that I had a hard time getting out!Artwork is beautifully placed throughout the property, adding such a special touch. It was also reassuring to know that someone was just a text away if we needed anything. They even called to offer me fresh towels, and a cooler to make me more comfortable. They truly went above and beyond.We will definitely be back! Nothing less than five stars

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We loved watching a family of deer from the deck and feeding the birds. The location was perfect, close to town but still peaceful and surrounded by nature. We also enjoyed hiking around Beaver Lake and finding shells. We would happily stay here again!

Very Beautiful,serene setting with access to fishing/swimming deck on the lake just down the hill from the cabin. We enjoyed the quiet setting and the deer that come to visit the back porch in the morning. The cabin is perfect for 2. Small kitchen with 2 burner cooktop,sink, microwave,toaster oven,12 cup coffee maker and a large mini fridge. We took steaks with us and used the propane bbq grill outside. The bed was so comfortable and had an assortment of pillows to choose from. There is a small bahroom with shower and a jetted tub in the main room.Cheryl emailed specific directions a few days before our arrival and text us to confirm arrival time so key would be ready for us. This was very helpful. Also we drive a small car and accessed with no problem. The small section of road before the gravel is very rough. Just go slow and maneuver around some washout areas. Everything was clean,comfy and inviting. She even left a basket of snacks and some birdseed for the feeder. This place was exactly what we were looking for. Hope to stay here again.

We had a fantastic stay at Cheryl’s property. The pictures don’t do this place justice! The host was very kind, provided excellent directions, and lots of personal touches for our stay. This cabin provides plenty of privacy and has a dock for guests use on the lake. It is an awesome property with a great host!

Definitely a top notch property & just as described! The host was very nice & accommodating, helping us find food nearby etc. The bed was very comfortable & the property was spotless. But you definitely need to be willing to unplug, and not need wifi as you will not have it without a Hotspot of some kind. We left some extra DVDs there for future guest, but they had quite a good sized selection. Just be aware you will be far from anything so encouraged to bring snacks & possibility easy sandwich materials.

Due to the business of life, I accidentally booked two properties for the same date :(I don’t have a full experience of staying here but want to comment on the communicativeness of the host: They were very proactive! We did stop by and the lodging was a great little spot for a couple. The proximity to the lake was great and the overall setting was beautiful.
