About Guy and Gaby
Hi, We are Gaby and Guy, your hosts at Moulin de la Roque in Noves, France. Guy came from Belgium over 25 years ago searching for an Estate in France where he could relax, engage in agriculture and enjoy the Provencal lifestyle. He found such a place in Moulin de la Roque. A historic old Flour Mill and Estate (dating back as far a the 1500s), located in the countryside, near a small village but not far from Saint Remy and Avignon. It was nestled up to a Mountain, Rock Cliff and surrounded by a lovely River. There were fields of orchards and a small vineyard. The only problem was that most of it were ruins. Being an engineer by education, Guy had no hesitation to begin a complete renovation of the property which continues even today. Guy met Gabrielle (Gaby), an American, 15 years ago when she came as a guest to the Estate with some artists to paint. The Airline had lost her luggage for over 10 days. At that time she spoke little French so Guy helped her. Thanks to the Airline, she has never left! We are very passionate about our beautiful Estate in the Provence and love sharing it with guests. Please feel free to reach out for any questions you might have. We are looking forward to welcoming you! Warm regards, Gaby and Guy
Guy and Gaby purchased this Villa in 1994

Our stay at Moulin de la Roque - Noves
We are a Belgian family with three children, ages from 10-14 years. We have spent our summer holidays at Moulin de la Roque last August 2018.
It was the third time that we stayed at the estate. We stayed here in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
As all the other times, both Guy and Gaby really welcomed us at their fanatastic domain. They are very helpful, give good advice on what is worth a visit and also give practical advice when asked for it.
The estate itself is very well maintained, the houses are very pleasant and are very well equiped. There is a very nice pool, a splendid garden and a forest just aside. There is a small village on walking distance where one can buy the most important supplies.
We have twice stayed at La Bergerie and once at La Tuilerie, both are equally lovely.
As before, we enjoyed every moment of it. For us it is ideal, we can relax and the children can play and swim. In the evening we can BBQ, or go out and then come back and enjoy the tranquility and nature on our terrace.
The domain is an ideal homebase to discover the great region of the Provence. Guy and Gaby will definetely be able to advise you on that! Even after 3 stays, we have not visited all there is to see in the region.
We are definetely going back!
