SEASIDE is just that..."AWSOME"...and I am so happy when my guests really enjoy it as much as we do!! The sun, surf and sand at your doorstep....and open southerly view to Block Island from the deck...who could ask for anything more!!! Thanks for the review!!!

SEASIDE is the perfect location to just sit back and enjoy the sand, surf and sun, so I was very happy to see that you were able to do that. It is very nice to have everything close, so you can spend your time at the cottage and not off traveling, and wasting "beach time". The beach is also a wonderful walking beach, for those late afternoon strolls. I agree the outside shower is what makes a summer vacation. I actually designed the cottage myself, And tried to make the living area as large as possible, so the bedrooms are small, but in the summer, you are only there to sleep. There is a door that can lock at the foot of the stairs, so little ones do not have access to the stairs. We have worked each year on "re-doing" different areas of the cottage. Last year it was all new windows. Next year we will have a new project, as the ocean brings harsh winter weather...but we are very proud of our cottage and strive to keep it in the best condition. There are many wonderful restaurants, but you did hit on the most popular one, THE MATUNUCK OYSTER BAR. the food is amazing and fresh from the waters that the restaurant sits on. Fantastic sunsets....which are also outstanding at SEASIDE! I hope you took lots of pictures, as a beach vacation is a place to re-energize and the pictures will bring back that feeling throughout the remainder of the seasons, until you " are lucky enough to be at the beach!". I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the SEASIDE COTTAGE. Here is my response on your review. On the very first day you broke the brand new beach umbrella and the deck umbrella. It was a windy day. The contract clearly states that the umbrellas need to come down snd tied wit bingos on a windy day. On the very first day, just hours after your early arrival, you called to say you had broken both umbrellas. You did not offer to pay or replace them. You did find sugar ants supposedly in the kitchen, and I responded immediately and went over with two types of ant spray and ant drops. You told me not to spray and when I asked to be shown where the ants were you could not find ants anywhere except for one single sugar ant on the windowsill in the living room. I came over within an hour of your call. The cottage was totally cleaned and I inspected iprior to your arrival. At your departure you also took two curtains and rods from the corner bedroom. You actually went to the other matching bedroom and took a set of curtains off the wall and put one panel in one window and one panel in the other window. Upon departure you did not get your trash out in time, as the contract clearly states, causing me to call the trash for an extra pick up which is $100. I admit the sink was clogged, but don’t know what was put down it to cause the clog. Again I had a plumber over there immediately and fixed it within an hour. . As far as the pizza goes, I have no comment on that… As the cleaning team is very thorough… I will apologize for that is that is unacceptable. Because we did have the clogged pipes, I did not put in to a damage deposit, for any of the above. I felt bad, about the clogged drain, and The fact that we did have to go over and fix the plumbing during your stay.. I did allow you to come in five hours early, so you had an extra half day. In order to do that I had to go over and help with the cleaning so I know it was very clean upon your arrival. Again I am sorry that you were disappointed, but it seems the disappointment came from both sides.

This is TOTALLY not true. There was NO MOUSE or DROPPINGS! The couch was destroyed by this family. You tried to get a refund and VRBO researched this situation, and found it was false information. The cottage was left dirty and in a mess. I had to get all new couch covers and a new couch. Never had a situation like this in all my years of sharing out Beach Cottage. Very disappointing! I had to call in extra help to get it ready for our next guest!

Thank you so much for taking the time to inform new guests, all about SEASIDE! With such a large lot you really have a lot of privacy, which is very rare, for seaside cottages. We are so lucky to have this, and love sharing with guests that appreciate it. I am thrilled that you truly loved being there. I look forward to seeing you again!!
