Muttley's Cottage
The cottage is on our 2-arce lifestyle block for you to relax and enjoy our farm scenery. We have chickens, ducks, dogs and cats. We want you to enjoy your stay and we welcome you to stay here at the cottage.
PLEASE NOTE: Cottage does not have a BBQ grill. Cottage sleeps 5 guests max. No PETS. We take great pride in our cottage. Everything laundered and cleaned after each guest.
The space:
Welcome to the Little House With Charm on the farm...(not a working farm with cows) Muttley's Cottage accommodates/ sleeps 5 guests max in beautiful Independence, 25 min. outside Salem. Located in the Willamette Valley area, this self-contained cottage is the perfect place for your next getaway. This cute little cottage has the atmosphere of being out of the city but still close to beautiful down town, local restaurants, movie theater, the Willamette River and Riverfront Park. Cottage is near to some amazing wineries and vineyards. You will need your own transportation to these places from cottage. Set in a farm setting, the cottage accommodates/ sleeps 4 guests max. Consists of 2 separate bedrooms. Main bedroom has a queen size bed, #2 Full-size bed. Open lounge area, kitchen, bathroom and patio. The kitchen is fully set up with everything you will need and there is also a washing machine and dryer. Cable TV, WIFI, Netflix and Amazon Prime included. Cottage has own private entrance and parking. Plenty of parking in front of cottage for two vehicles. Please talk to us first before entering the paddocks. Happy to show you you around if you ask us.

Muttley's cottage is located in Independence. This cute little town has a beautiful down town, local restaurants, movie theater, the Willamette River and Riverfront Park. During the summer the downtown association sponsors music and movies in the park with seating on the grass. Seasonally, the Farmers Market is where you can find fresh produce and local products (April- Oct.).
Getting around:
Independence, Oregon is located outside of Salem north of Corvallis. We are right in the center Monmouth and Independence. The Cottage is located 10 minutes from Western Oregon University (Monmouth), and 30 minutes from Oregon State University (Corvallis).

4 Guests Max. Cottage accommodates/ 4 guests only. If you break the rules you will be notified and charged $40 per person/ per day. No Pets

About the host

We would love for you stay in our cozy cottage and enjoy the farm scenery. Cottage may be rented for short or long visits. Check out Independence Facebook page or City of Independence calendar for up coming Fall, Spring and Summer events. This little town has a lot to offer. Cottage is 20 mins outside of Salem, 25 mins from Corvallis, 35 min. from McMinnville, 1.2 hr from Portland and 1.2 hr from the coast. Also local winery's and beer breweries.
Why they chose this property
We traveled through Independence and fell in love with the town. When this fixer upper property came up for sale. We moved out of the city to the country. We have enjoyed fixing up this little farm. The property includes the cottage, work shed, barn and the main house where we live. We started with the cottage. Took it down to its studs and built it right back up. It's the first house built on the property in 1942.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is located on 2 acre with views of the barn, and the property along with our furry friends. We have two dogs, two cats, chickens and three ducks.
