This place is Beautiful! We used it as a stopping point part of a longer trip out west. It was perfect for those quiet, cool evenings to relax in the parlor or the front porch. We slept well and highly recommend this vrbo!

This is the perfect home for a stay in the beautiful red rocks of Kanab, UT. We spent 3 days exploring the backcountry in a rented Jeep. It was splendid to come “home” to this lovingly fitted historic home. The tasteful decor delighted me with its functional authenticity. Our host was instantly available and upfront about a problem with a few outlets. There are plenty of books, games and movies to occupy folks wanting to spend a day or two indoors. I enjoyed preparing meals in the fully outfitted kitchen. The floor plan gave space to enjoy the company of friends and family or grab some solitude. My husband was enjoying some alone time on the upstairs deck. A friend went into the bathroom and noticing the door to the deck slightly ajar pulled it shut and locked it. Consequently, my husband learned of the well planned and fully functional fire escape.

Perfect location!

We couldn’t have loved staying here more. The home is wonderfully appointed and was the perfect place to unwind after visiting nearby sights. We would stay here again without hesitation!! Thank you!!!

Perfect launching point

This property was a perfect launching point for many adventures, including National Parks, dark sky viewing, and an ATV tour. The property was very comfortable and as advertised. The town is very nice, good dining options, friendly folks, and mostly walkable from the property.

Great stay in Kanab

The home was perfect for our group. It was comfortable, clean and in great condition. The host made check in easy and was very responsive to any questions we had. We enjoyed the central location in Kanab with ready walking access to downtown and restaurants. The “heart of the parks” location was a big bonus for our drives to the Grand Canyon, Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks.

The absolute best place to stay!

This amazing historical home is absolutely the best place we have ever stayed. The decor is stunning and everything is comfortable and convenient. The house is within walking distance of Kanab- a beautiful little town, and is convenient to several parks and attractions. The host is very helpful, and there are lots of brochures and booklets to assist you with your planning. We loved the place and hated to leave.

Location, comfort and history!

We loved our stay at the Pugh House! It was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities and modern conveniences you could think of! We sat outside every day and thoroughly enjoyed the yard, deck and entire experience. We would definitely stay here again and we would definitely recommend to others! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

The Best

This is the BEST vacation rental property I have stayed in. The hosts have thought of everything you need and then some. Beautiful home with character. Location is perfect for walking into town/restaurants etc. The evening sunsets from the deck were lovely. Thank you!

Wonderful!!

We had the best time here! Lots of space, relaxing areas outside and inside. Beautiful yard, and outdoor patios. Rooms were spacious and lots of accommodations. Definitely going to stay here again, added fun part we are related to the Pugh family. Thank you to the Chad for being accommodating and very kind!

Fabulous

Everything was beyond expectations!. Very clean and well maintained home. Communication was fast and easy. Highly recommend this area for hiking in Zion and Bryce and beyond!

Serendipity

The Pugh house is in an excellent location in Kanab. Close to many wonderful parks as well as activities in Kanab as well. The home has plenty of space, outside seating areas and an upstairs deck that offers good views in the morning as well as the evening.

Perfect Kanab Stay

We really enjoyed our stay in the Pugh house. The house itself was very comfortable and warm. Since there was no central heating, we were concerned about being cold but we were warm and cozy. The house itself is beautiful and full of amazing antiques. The location is perfect. We walked into town each and every day. Quite a place to stay and we will choose to stay with these owners again!

great locale

we had stayed in a hotel in Kanab in the past as well as camped.. but with five active adult hikers we tried the 1906 house and weren't disappointed. very nice historic well maintained property with modern amenities right in the middle of town. we enjoyed cooking out on the patio and watching the stars from the porch during the evening after extended hiking into the Kanab back country every day. the rustic furniture is great and the dining table is just what the pioneers would have used! We'll be staying again!

Perfect location!

We travel a lot and I do believe this is the most well equipped house we have rented. TP , paper towels, shampoo , soap laundry soap everything you need and more!! The house was very very clean and a great location. Walk to Dinner, shopping and breakfast. 20 minute drive to Zion, 45 Min drive to Antalope Canyon, 15 min drive to Coral Dunes. Also close to North Rim Grand Canyon. Very Nice! Perfect Location!!

Beautifully restored historic home

We loved our stay! We were there at Thanksgiving, and made our own Thanksgiving day meal! The kitchen was perfect! We found everything we needed. We all appreciated the well restored home! Everything had a vintage look, but felt fresh and new at the same time. This is not your great grandma's rundown home!!! The hosts were friendly and responsive to any questions we had.

Great location

The home itself was part of are vacation. We had so much fun just studying all the antiques and the history of the home. It was a perfect fit for my family. Plenty of off road parking for are ATV,s and in close proximity trails to ride. We also took a side trip to the North Rim, only two hours away. We just had a grat time. Stephen Bench

Kanab 4th of July 2024

We had such a great time in Kanab. This home was in a perfect location for the things we wanted to do. There was plenty of room and it was very well stocked. My only issue was with the front door step. As an older woman, it was somewhat difficult getting in and out because the step was do high. I suggest the addition of a small step. Thank you for making this house available to visitors to your lovely community!

House is super clean

The house is so charming and clean. All three bedrooms are great, no arguments over who got what room. House is spotless, no dust on anything including baseboards. I have never stayed in a rental that was this clean. Kitchen is well stocked. The kitchen was fun to cook breakfast in. The pictures do not show how charming the house is and how big it is. Every corner is decorated perfectly. When we walked into the house we all had huge smiles looking everywhere. We walked to restaurants and shops. Super easy to check in. Owner gave clear information of everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again.
