Great Location for lots to do
The condo was supplied well, bed was comfortable, and the view was amazing. The condo is close to many places to eat, shop, and enjoy the beach. We highly recommend!

The condo is in a great location. Dan was easy to reach and kept in touch with us during the week.
Not what was advertised, will not come back
Location was new for us. Wanted a beach to fish and a warm pool to relax. Door to condo was unlocked when we arrived. 5pm. Keypad entry would only work 1 out of 10 times. We were afraid to lock door wondering if it would open again. Scrounged around to find a extra door key with other keys in condo, Used the key the entire stay. Called condo owner and he responded on numerous emails..
Other issures: Pool was not heated as advertised, and was probably no intent to be heated. Day 2 of our 9 day stay, the pool was drained. This was a big calling card to this location..heated pool. Owner suggest we just walk over to the adjacent condos and swim in their hot tub and pool. Really? Seems like trespassing to me, and even though we tried it, we found key codes were needed. No swimming for the entire time in the pool and the last day, pool had a green look to it. Locals of the condo said pool usually repaired from Christmas to New Years. Not a good deal for us. Ocean was warmer..
The condo had all the needs that we were used to and it was nice to come back after a busy day of shopping and dining., until there was no water on day 7, which then meant there was no hot water for 24 hours. That was unfortunate.
The owner was always quick to respond to email/phone calls. I have a record of them on VRBO. Probably way too many if compared to our previous VRBO experiences. However his apologies did nothing to make our stay better and did very little to resolving issues. He did offer us 2 more days as compensation for our troubles, but our schedule did not allow that extra time. What about a refund?...with all this mess that we had to deal with that seems like a logical solution,
I find it hard to believe that so many issues were involved., we have never had this problem before in VRBO rentals. Some issues could have been avoided and some were unavoidable, but after listening to locals who have been here for many years, these issues are the status quo...starting with heating the water in the pool. I repeat, this heated pool was one of the top reasons for renting this property. The owner claims he was unaware of the many of the policies that we brought to his attention and his feigned ignorance just did more to turn this vacation into one soon to be forgotten.
As I stated in all of our calls, texts, and emails, I offered my apologies for the issues you found. In reply to some of your comments, I did send you a refund a few days after your stay (without any prompting by you). The FAQ page clearly provides guidance to where the keys are - a lanyard on the key rack, just in case you have challenges with the keyless entry and keys to the exercise room. The pool is heated, but the safety issue of a light being out, the water was drained to the lights level to repair the light. Which was repaired, water added, and the heater was then turned on. I did reply/respond kindly and promptly to every communication from you. I hope these answers help to have you return to Perdido Key.
I thought it was on the first floor, not the fifth.
Property overall was very good. The property did not lack in amenities and furnishings.
