Your Maine Lake Escape — Waterfront, Peaceful, Pet-Friendly

What do you think of when you dream of a Maine Vacation.... a cabin on a lake in the woods, super private where you can make memories with your family, watch your dog swimming in the lake- teach your kids how to kayak and fish- have a nice glass of wine on the deck- Lincoln Cabin is gonna check all your boxes!! Directly on Tunk Lake, It is the beauty of the setting that is most captivating. Year after year families choose Lincoln Cabin because it is such a quiet spot, where you can really unplug and unwind. We are not known for great cell reception or motorized water sports (motorized boats are prohibited) or our close proximity to shopping and lots of people**** we are 45-60 minutes from Bar Harbor. We are known for being one of the last quiet gems- on a pristine lake in Maine, where you can listen to nature and truly relax.
Guests have two full, bathrooms, a fresh and modern kitchen, and great dining room furniture! Our kitchen is outfitted with new appliances, beautiful dinnerware and cutlery. Our living area is spacious with a vaulted ceiling which opens on to a deck overlooking Tunk Lake. The cabin is at the end of a private road leading down to a small beach with a dock jutting onto the lake and a swim float. The cabin comes supplied with a canoe and two kayaks. There are many hiking trails nearby, up Schoodic Mountain and also Black Mountain, where you can climb to a pristine glacier pond, aptly named Wizard Pond. Winter Harbor is about 20 minutes away where there is a ferry to Bar Harbor, and a section of Acadia National Park, or you can make the 45-60 minute drive to Bar Harbor. We have a great little store in Sullivan named Dunbar's, you must check it out or a 30 minute drive takes you to Ellsworth, where there are some wonderful food stores ( John Edwards, Rooster Brother, Hannaford) to name a few!

What a wonderful stay! The location was perfect for us. It was so quiet and secluded with plenty of outdoor activities to keep our family busy. It was also close enough to activities like hiking and shopping if that was what you wanted to do instead. Kitchen was well supplied and we had plenty of space for our family of 8.

Beautiful private getaway
We had a wonderful time at the cabin! Everything was super clean, and we had everything we needed for an easy, comfortable, and fun stay. The location on Tunk Lake is gorgeous and very private, while also being close to Acadia, Schoodic Point, etc. Can’t wait to come back!

Excellent!
This cabin hit everything that we wanted! Quiet, secluded, private, and waterfront. It was definitely clean and well kept. Being able to enjoy family time outside and listen to nature under the stars was perfect! If we ever come back to Maine, which I’m sure we will, this will be the cabin that we choose to stay at!

Fantastic Cabin in the Woods

Wonderful trip!
We had a lovely stay in a beautiful property. The location was perfect to enjoy sunrises by the lake and end the day with a cosy fire. Shasta was super responsive and ensured we had an easy check in and comfortable stay.

Great Lake vacation
Lovely cabin, well maintained. Close enough for day trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia but secluded enough for quiet lake days/nights. Owner gives you all the info you need for an enjoyable stay.

Peaceful private and relaxing
We had a very nice, relaxing time and the house was exactly as pictured and as expected from the listing! Our host was very responsive to our questions. Beautiful and quiet lake and breathtaking sunrise!

Wonderful house and property! The house was clean and comfortable. Nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. The drive over to Acadia and Schoodic wasn't hard and didn't feel long. We enjoyed several days in the Acadia area and several days just relaxing at the house! The lake was beautiful and incredibly peaceful! The skies were dark and we had amazing views of the stars and even captured the northern lights one evening. Shasta was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Perfect Lake House!
It was the perfect location on this beautiful lake with canoes and kayaks. Hiking to two awesome mountain peaks was only ten minutes away. Quiet and peaceful.

Family vacation!
Had a wonderful time with my family at Lincoln Cabin. Spent most of our time on the water kayaking, swimming and lounging on our float. Grandkids loved fishing off the dock. The cabin was more than expected...will definitely visit again. Thank you Shasta and neighbors!

What a fantastic property!
What a wonderful property! Despite driving by a few houses on the way to the property, you feel as though you are entirely alone with a lake all to yourself. The house itself is beautiful as well, with an up-to-date kitchen and stylish and comfortable furnishings throughout. We would absolutely love to stay there again!

Peaceful retreat
This cabin is about an hour from Bar Harbor/Acadia. We enjoyed being away from the crowds. The setting was perfectly peaceful. There were some nearby trails for adventure and kayaks provided by the Vrbo. We saw a bald eagle on each of these excursions.

Absolutely Perfect Getaway on Tunk Lake!
We stayed here for several nights and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house itself is pristine—everything was spotless when we arrived, and all of the furnishings and supplies are excellent quality. You can tell the owners put a lot of care into making this a comfortable, welcoming place.The lake is absolutely stunning—easily one of the most scenic spots I’ve ever visited. It was so quiet and peaceful that it felt like we had the whole lake to ourselves. We spent our days on the glassy water and fishing right from the dock. Evenings were perfect for grilling and sitting around the fire pit under the stars.If you’re looking for a place to completely relax and soak up nature, this is it. Beautiful views, top-notch amenities, and total tranquility—highly recommended.

Amazing!
What a great trip. If you really just want to get away, have a good time, and relax, this is the place for you. The lake is pristine and so lovely to have the canoe and kayaks. It is great to just jump in the water whenever you want to! The home is also very nice and comfortable. You will have a great time if you come here!

Peaceful Stay on the Lake
If you are looking for a cabin on the a lake that all you hear is wildlife this is the place!!! Everything was perfect. The host was great and answered all of our questions and gave any information we needed!! We will come back!!!
