Thanks so much for choosing our families vacation rental. So glad you all were able to enjoy the house and the area. Do hope you come back again one day. thanks again!!
We had a great stay! The house is gorgeous and it was so nice relaxing on the porch with coffee and the view of the monutains or by the fireplace in the evening. Our pups loved the house too and being cozy by the fire. Great location and only 5 minutes to everything in Black Mountain and 20minutes to downtown Asheville.
Beautiful home, well maintained, stocked for an army and plenty of space to spread out and the right space to be together...close to town...close to mountains...perfect for a 3-generation family trip. The host was a great communicator and provided all the details we needed.
This home was perfect for our multi-family group! The view was gorgeous! The bonus loft space was perfect for two of our teens to sleep in, just note that the ceiling is sloped and it can get warm up there and not any privacy! A great space regardless. We enjoyed the hot tub too! Having two living rooms and kitchens, with our size group, was very helpful for spreading out! The two dining tables were perfect, not only for meals but games! There were plenty of dishes, cookware, towels, blankets, bedding and pillows for all! All beds were comfortable. The only thing that was challenging was the super steep long driveway! The owner gave us warning about it, but it was steeper than any of us imagined! You need to put your vehicle into a low gear and go up confidently or your tires may spin trying to get up the first part like several of our vehicles experienced (it had also rained and the roads were wet). Also, be sure to turn your cars around at the top and go down the driveway forwards. There are places to park on the way to the house that the host told us about if you have guests whose cars would struggle. You’d need someone to pick you and your things up and drive you up the driveway if you park away from the house though. An overall lovely stay, fast communication with the host, clean and comfortable home!
Beautiful home with plenty of rooms for a comfortable stay.

Property was not in best condition and not well kept. There were few basic items, such as soap, shampoo, garbage bags, etc. Location and house size were good for our group.

First impressions really do matter, don’t they? In this case, we unfortunately got off on the wrong foot when a deck stair tread popped up as a suitcase was pulled across it. Thankfully, it was fixed and reinforced within the hour, but it certainly wasn’t the welcome we want for our guests.
Not long after, there were a couple of hiccups with entering the correct Wi-Fi password and adjusting the digital thermostat. We were able to resolve everything quickly, but I completely understand the review—it felt like too many little stumbles right at the start.
If you’re reading this, please know that we care deeply about every guest’s experience and work very hard to have the home fully ready before each arrival. We also recommend giving the welcome instructions a quick look ahead of time to make everything go as smoothly as possible (typed here with a warm smile)
Property and location are beautiful. The house is very well stocked- we had everything we could possibly need plus some. The owner was very easy to communicate with and thorough in the information she provides. Our whole group had a great time.

Please read the entire review. The house itself is very comfortable, especially for large groups. Plenty of beds, places to sit, places to eat, plenty of glasses, dishes, towels, etc. The house is pet friendly, but not friendly for pet walking, there is not a lot of space next to the actual house to let your dog go potty. If you go down the driveway, there are places to walk your dog. The driveway is an experience, an experience I'm glad is over - it is a white knuckler. The hot tub is mediocre at best, the tub will get hot, jets are not the best and it comes with chores if you stay over four days and are using the hot tub. Speaking of chores, the owner requests running the dishwasher, starting a load of laundry and stripping the beds before you leave - is this an unfair request, no, but why are we charged a cleaning fee if we are part of the cleaning crew? The impression given is if you bypass the check out rules you may be charged extra. The owner provides a lot of helpful information prior to check in, please read it, especially regarding light switches. This review may sound negative, but it shouldn't be taken that way. House itself - great - lived in, a bit worn, but very comfortable. Location for trips to Black Mountain - close, Ashville, Brevard - about 45 minutes. Our main disappointment - house was still being cleaned until 5:15pm. Driveway was terrible. Garage door broken (by a bear a month prior to our arrival), not a lot of space to walk dogs.
Driveway is very sloped. My van’s wheels skied. It would be a little scary for a new driver. Apple map helped me to drive in/out from the property. Overall, great place to stay .
We enjoyed our stay, and the home fit our needs perfectly. My family had done their due diligence regarding the area and mountain drive. We were able to venture out and visit nearby towns and attractions as well as hike the local mountain trails and rivers. We were all excited to see mama bears and their cubs, dear, turkeys and their baby poults, lots of cardinals, blue birds and squirrels. We enjoyed the afternoon thunderstorms and rain showers
