In the center of Dresden lies a peaceful haven - a four-bedroom holiday house perfect for weary tourists yearning for a comfortable and tastefully decorated hideaway. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a fully stocked kitchen, complete with a stove, oven, refrigerator, grill, and all the necessary appliances and utensils to prepare delightful meals. A large open living/dining room to hang out with friends and family. Then, step out onto the screened three season porch for your morning coffee, or enjoy the expansive outoor decks and the breathtaking sunrises over Seneca lake with your favorite glass of wine. A few steps and you are lakeside on your own lawn, complete with bean-bag toss, firepit, and a hammock. There's also a small beach perfect to walk in the lake for younger children. Complete with a 100' dock, swim ladder, and private swim platform, kayak, pedal boat, and sup board for you to enjoy.
Explore the nearby wineries, breweries, and distillaries. Hobart and William Smith Colleges, just a 20-minute drive, or venture to the charming Windmill Farm & Craft Market, a 19-minute drive from your doorstep. Be sure to visit nearby Penn Yan (see all the charming Mennonites) and Geneva for your shopping.

The host requires you complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks, and take out the trash
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Check out is 10am. If guests choose not to clean, they will forfeit their cleaning deposit and we will clean. If guests choose to clean, these are the parameters:
Leave house and grounds as you found them - clean, neat, and tidy - but don't make the beds. Wipe down all surfaces, including the grill, sweep floors and vacuum all rugs, clean and put away dishes.
Collect all bed linen and towels and place in provided hampers and/or tub.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Guests must complete and sign, and return a rental agreement contract as well as a copy of your drivers license prior to arrival.
No motorboats or trailers are allowed without prior approval.
Indoor fireplace may only use synthetic logs. Guests follow flu instructions posted on the fireplace.

Perfect Grad Weekend Stay

We were here for graduation weekend with family. It was the perfect place to relax while enjoying all that is nearby. Great location since the house seems to be around the halfway point between Geneva and Watkins Glenn. It was very peaceful with a beautiful view of the lake. Great house, and wonderful hosts. Absolutely beautiful. From the time we arrived Ken & Ellen made us feel welcome. The house is oerfect & has everything you need. We had a ton of fun using the grill, the fire pit, & the kayak. We stayed 3 nights for my mom's 70th birthday and had an unforgettable time in the Finger Lakes. We picked this property for its central location and 4 bedrooms. We were out and about most of the daytime exploring the area, but enjoyed relaxing in the evenings and coffee on the porch in the mornings. Ken & Ellen are great hosts, and we owe him for saving the day by helping us with a flat tire! This house has everything you'll need for a home away from home getaway. Beautiful Lake front

Overall this was a great place to stay. Rearranged some beautiful decorations related to young children around during the stay, but enjoyed the beautiful view, dock access, one floor house, nice sunroom allowing for views come rain or shine. There is a great little playground 0.5 miles away which was great for kids. I enjoyed having property manager next door just in case and felt we definitely had our privacy. Had a nice week and would recommend to nice small group.

Ken is a retired high school teacher and part-time musician, and Ellen is retired from IBM and Microsoft, and is now a successful real estate agent. They have vacationed and then lived in this area since 1985 and love the Finger lakes. They live next door to this property and LOVE the area.

Why they chose this property

Right on the water with lawns lakeside, beach area, and large lawn area across the road as well. Everything you need is here for a great vacation. Three season porch, huge deck, large dock and beautiful sunrises will leave you counting the days until you return. Very easy access from paved road, and all the amenities you could ask for.

What makes this property unique

Very easy access, and a lake lawn with fire pit. Three season porch overlooking the lake, and a very large deck seating area overlooking the lawn and lake.
Indoor Jacuzzi tub, many updates, easy access, quiet neighbors, off street parking for three cars.
