This place is spectacular. My only hesitation about saying how amazing it is would be that it maybe even harder to come back and stay again . Beautiful place (10/10) in an AMAZING location (25/10!).Well worth the price of admission.Top notch cleanliness, great communication, and an overall excellent experience!

This was our second stay at Seward and our first at Rowan cottage. As before, the property is spectacular and the ocean views are unparalleled. We liked this cottage best because both bedrooms are on the main floor. The view from the primary bedroom is so beautiful, as is the one from the common areas. We had no issues with one bathroom for three of us. Ray, the caretaker, was very helpful. This is our favorite place on the entire island.

Beautiful accommodation with all the provisions we needed. The grounds are amazing and the views stunning. We were lucky to get visits from hummingbirds, bald eagle, otters, seals and more. We had an amazing stay.

This was our third year (and we've already booked a 4th year) at this property. Both of the key people, responsible for the grounds and the housekeeping, are wonderful and very helpful. The view is magnificent, and we enjoyed seeing orcas, eagles, bunnies, windsurfers, cruise ships, and much, much more.

A perfect stay in a perfect place.In all sincerity I cannot imagine a more perfect vacation rental than Rowan Cottage in Sooke. Not only was the cottage itself absolutely spotless and cared for, quiet, exceedingly comfortable in every bed and chair, fully equipped to ensure a hassle-free stay, in addition to the ease of communication with Kristi and Ray when we needed to find something, but we have NEVER stayed on a more utterly gorgeous property and environment directly overlooking the sea than this treasure of treasures. Being able to spend all day looking out the windows of the cottage (1400 sf, by the way) in every direction across the Juan de Fuca, with sea life bounding and abundant, was pure joy. And the easy walk on the bluff to the private beaches, with strategically placed decks, chairs, tables, tucked in, so that we could enjoy the outdoors while reading or lounging outdoors, made our days there perfect.We will certainly return now that we know it is there.

We had a magical visit seeing eagles, seals, rabbits, robins, and seagulls. To be able to sit and see the Olympic Peninsula across the ever-changing waters of the Strait is a gift. Also, we enjoyed seeing Ray again. And, Kristi was very responsive.

We loved the location, with stunning ocean views. The cottage was well equipped, very comfortable, with large picture windows allowing us to take in the views. The numerous seating areas outside the cottage and in the picnic spots overlooking the ocean were fabulous.
