About Amy Greener

Hi I'm Amy Greener and along with my husband Rick, we own and self-manage our 5 cabins in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Our goal is to give you the best vacation rental experience ever. We hope to retire to the Smokies someday but for now, this is our family business and it keeps us busy! Rick is a hydraulics sales engineer and the technical mind in our family. I'm the art-sy one with a long career as a voice talent but more recently a professional photographer who specializes in real estate and vacation rentals. We would love to be your hosts at TreeHouse Hideaway.

Amy Greener purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Amy Greener chose Sevierville

The TreeHouse is quite different from our other cabins and that's what drew us to it. It needed a lot of work and updating, but we enjoy challenges and this was a perfect one. The privacy, convenient location, and nice features made it a winner with us. We really enjoy the privacy among the trees yet you can see the mountains in the distance. Best of all, you're only 2.5 miles from the heart of Pigeon Forge saving you time and gas.

What makes this cabin unique

If you want privacy, comfort and a convenient location, the TreeHouse is perfect for you. Of our four cabins, the TreeHouse is where I prefer to stay when we're here on a work trip. It's 2.5 miles to the Parkway at Light 3 in Pigeon Forge...less than 5 minutes. I love the kitchen for making meals at the house, the WIFI for checking emails, the spacious bedrooms and pillowtop beds for a good night's sleep...the private covered porches and new deck...the huge indoor jacuzzi with view window...and the feeling that you're up in a TreeHouse looking out to the mountains through the trees. It's so private and peaceful.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had such a good time at the treehouse. All the extras that Amy and her family provide made it easy for us to just relax and enjoy. We have stayed in Pigeon Forge before but this is the first time that the cabin has actually been as good as it sounds. The treehouse is close to all attractions but yet private and quiet. The screened in porch and hot tub were so relaxing and the king size beds were very comfy. The treehouse is a very clean and comfortable home away from home and we cannot wait to return. Thank you for all that you do to make it so nice. It was our best vacation ever!!!

Wonderful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed a 3 night stay in the Treehouse cabin this week. The cabin was easy to find nestled on a quiet, private, wooded hill not too far from the Pigeon Forge Parkway. The Treehouse is well-furnished and decorated, beds very comfortable, kitchen fully stocked with necessary appliances, dinnerware, etc. Amy even provided some complimentary snacks for her guests and dog biscuits for pets. Every amenity you could possibly need was provided (for example: dish soap, laundry soap, plenty of towels, blankets, pillows, hairdryer, fast WiFi, hot tub, TV's, DVD players, board games, washer and dryer). Unusual for October, we were allowed an hour earlier check-in to the cabin and got the opportunity to meet Amy and her son at the property. Both were very welcoming. We would highly recommend the Treehouse for your Great Smokey Mountain get-away!

Owner's Response: Sue, thank you for the wonderful review. It was nice to meet you and your family at check-in, though David and I were hoping to have everything finished and scoot out before your arrival. Oh well, you caught the cabin "elves" restocking and primping the cabin LOL I genuinely appreciate your review since you and your husband are former cabin owners and know the challenges involved (especially in peak times like October!) I love meeting our guests and your family was no exception. Thank you again for your patronage and I hope you can make a repeat visit to the TreeHouse someday.

Private, welcoming and wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

The Treehouse is so private and quiet, you'd never know that the Parkway was only 10 minutes away. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, peaceful, and easy and friendly communication with the owner. I'm looking forward to returning!

Everything and more!

  • 5 of 5

This home was ideally located just a short drive from the Parkway and convenient to everything, in addition to being extremely nice & CLEAN! The owner provided so many extras...k-cups for the Keurig, snack bars, night lights, laundry detergent, doggy treats, air fresheners for the baths...things you normally don't find. The beds slept wonderful too. We would definitely rent from this owner again!

Great place to relax and enjoy the quiet.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here so there would be room for my son, his wife, and our two grandchildren. My son lives in Knoxville and they decided not to stay and we had the grandchildren to ourselves except two days of school and we had it to ourselves. We enjoyed all of it and took the kids on a coaster ride only a few minutes away. When the kids was gone my wife and I went to Pigeon Forge for her birthday and had a great time. Everything is so close we were home from the show in 10 minutes. Would stay here againif opportunity gives us a chance. So glad they allowed our dog to stay with us. We had already been gone for over 2 weeks before and would have hated to leave him again. He travels very well.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review, DJH. Glad you liked the cabin and the location. I like the convenience, too, when I'm there working. It's so easy to get to so many places. It sounds like your family had a great time. If you make plans for another family meet-up, I hope you'll consider the TreeHouse again!

A Week Long Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the cabin for a week and loved our stay. The cabin is quiet yet ten minutes from the parking behind the Island and other popular Pigeon Forge destinations. It was the perfect place to retreat after going a day in town or a long day hiking at the park.

Just a few considerations for those looking here. First, the cabin sits at the top of a fairly steep driveway. We had a 4WD SUV, but that may be a problem for you, especially if the weather is bad. Second, there are two bedrooms: one attached to the bathroom and one with a balcony. The balcony offers beautiful views but does not have a way to prevent young children from opening it other than a door handle lock. So we had to put our 3 year old in the room attached to the bathroom, which due to noise prevented us from using the whirlpool tub after he went to bed. Third, the cabins both below the hill and above each have a dog for pets and we found both in the driveway at different points of the week. Lastly, the cabin comes equipped with nearly every kitchen tool and appliance you could want. Unfortunately they take up all the cabinets so there is no space for food.

These are minor issues though in the grand scheme. There was plenty to do at the cabin, from a nice hot tub which we used a lot since we could not use the tub, a TV with full cable offerings, board games, an arcade, and even an old GameCube with a dozen or so games. There are tons of places to sit and relax, including comfortable chairs and a couch as well as outdoor seating on both porches and the deck. We ate outside on the screened porch more than anywhere else where there is a fan and rope lights. The lights in the living and dining room dim so you can sit in quiet low light at night. You also get nice views. Sitting on the upstairs deck makes you feel like you're in a treehouse. At night through the trees you can see the lights on the goat coaster from the upper porch. You also have access to the roller coasters, grocery, a number of big box shops and fast food restaurants, and a nice playground on Wears Valley without having to dive into the Parkway. Boss Hogg BBQ is right at the entrance to the neighborhood and is highly recommended.

We had a great time and would return here if our future plans take us that way. Be sure to both read and sign the guestbook!

Owner's Response: Kevin, thanks for your review of your week at the TreeHouse! Okay, I'm going to do some kitchen cabinet editing and make sure we have at least one fully dedicated to being available for guest storage. We keep dishes in one and glassware in another, but the corner one could be converted into open space, I'm sure. Thanks for the suggestion :) If you're ever back to the Smokies, please look us up. We'd love to host your stay next visit.
