About this property

Eagle Lodge - Vacation Home on Lake Guntersville

Perfect spot on Lake Guntersville for your next family reunion or large group getaway! This seven bedroom and three full/two half bathroom lodge style retreat offers over 7,000 sq ft of living space for your getaway. You are welcomed into this lodge as soon as you open the front door into the great room with floor to ceiling fireplace, open style kitchen along with sitting room, dining room and extra dining area. Feel the warmth of the home from the reclaimed mule barn walls restored from a 1949 barn from Arab, AL as well as fourteen cedar trees placed throughout the home all from the area. Space well never be an issue at this retreat either spend time in the game room which offers you a pool table, poker table and puzzle table. Or maybe shuffleboard is your game which you can enjoy in the upstairs loft area. Curl up and watch your favorite movie from either the upstairs great room or enjoy the downstairs area with its large comfy sectional as well as a second kitchen which includes a dishwasher, oven, and stove. There is not a second refrigerator in the basement. However, a mini fridge is located on main level porch. Make sure to bring your boat because there is plenty of tie up space at the open style boat house with great water depths for swimming and fishing. Unwind for the evening with cocktails on the screened in back porch overlooking Lake Guntersville.

fabulous spot for all
We were very pleased with everything. The house and grounds are excellent! The only complaint we had was the fact that our time was up and we had to return to reality! Highly recommended and we hope to come again very soon!

Great place for family vacation
The house is stunning as you walk through the front door! The yard and exterior of the house is well maintained. PROS: -Well stocked kitchen -plenty for all ages to do (8-74) -very spacious -large dock for our boat, kayaks, canoe, although a little tricky getting in and out of kayaks/canoe -great seating in living room and seating for meal time -good bluegill/brim fishing off the dock -screened in area on deck was great -plenty of parking space CON: -2nd kitchen in the basement but no fridge, we could have used a 2nd fridge -no hot water in the basement bathroom -internet didn’t work but we could still watch tv -one sink in master bath didn't drain -no hand towel ring/bar in half bath on main floor -small bedroom on main floor didn’t have a side table for a phone, etc. -outdoor furniture on basement level was dirty, as were the outdoor eating tables on the deck -could have used more dish towels -surprised how grassy the lake water was -both rings around the garbage disposal pop off when you turn it off and on -the house could use more than 3 showers for as many as it sleeps -ladders to get in and out the lake from the dock are far from the end you jump into and one is broken -tricky figuring out which light switches work which lights -we had to go to more than one boat ramp to launch because our boat was too tall to go under several of the bridges to get back to the house. We have a master craft ski boat with a wake board rack.
