About Kimberlie Young
I grew up in Norfolk, Va - a Navy brat. I followed my dad and joined the Navy JAG Corps. I retired and now work for the US government practicing law. I live down the street from the cottage so I am nearby to assist. I plan to live in the cottage when I "retire retire"!
Why Kimberlie Young chose Cottage Line
I fell in love when I saw it. The history of the cottage and land and its private beachfront location make this a unique property. It was built in 1906 by the Hilary Land family. Although it has been completely renovated, the charm and most features of the initial cottage remain. There is an historic house in Virginia Beach - the Francis Land house - that you can visit. (Francis was related to Hilary.)
What makes this cottage unique
See the Chesapeake Bay from almost every room. Private backyard leads directly to the beach, which is pretty much all yours as the public access is down the street. Architectural features of the home are spectacular - from the slate roof to the arched doorways to the ceiling beams and original hardwoods.
