Great Place if camping is not your thing
The property was very nice. Larger than I expected and the location is just about perfect. The house was mostly clean but it also might be just the age of the property. As long as you're not a clean freak, this place is perfect. We will be booking it again.
Always a great place to be
Very easy rental experience, no hassle getting check in information, stayed here for the 2nd time, love the location and the peace and quiet
Always a pleasure
I have reviewed before, but we always have a good time at Anglers Hideaway. It is important to remember this is a hideaway for nature and river seekers, not a cabin in Pigeon Forge on the strip. There is no wifi or cell service yet (thank goodness). Buy a $5 calling card at Dollar General if you want to call out long distance on the landline, and if the outfitters store nearby is open, they have wifi if you get in a pinch. Other than that, bring a little firewood, sit by the creek and chill out. If you choose to float down from upriver, getting back to Ellis Creek and the cabin is fairly easy, just make sure you can recognize it coming down the river, or you'll have to get out at the ramp underneath the railroad bridge.
Stayed here for the weekend and LOVED it! The house was fully furnished and the property is GORGEOUS! It’s peaceful and secluded! I didn’t want to go home!
Reliance is in the Cherokee National Forest. The area has world class rafting at the Ocoee and world class fly fishing on the Hiwassee River (where cabin is located), and Telico River. There is a winery about twenty minutes away, and a scenic drive on the Cherohala parkway, great for site seeing in the fall and taking motorcycle trips year around. The woods are thick, rivers are wide, and the roads are curvy, just what you're looking for...
Other Activities: Rafting.
