What makes this cabin unique

We love the privacy! Beautiful views of the mountains and the River. We have private access to the River, and enjoy the fact that you can spend your entire stay at the cabin, or on the River, without seeing another building, or other persons. The sounds of the River are so soothing. Nothing like falling asleep to the sounds of the water. We love the wooded property and the variety of wildlife that venture through. There are also a number of beautiful attractions within a short walk or drive from the cabin.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Dave & Tami,

It's always so hectic to get organized and get out of town, and then we arrive into such a cozy place and we go ahhhhhhh.........and I find myself thinking "3 nights just isn't long enough!" You have created a wonderful get-away; thank you for all the special homey touches. And isn't is something to look out a bedroom window early in the morning and see TREES - Cedar, Fir covered with snow! We loved exploring the ice covered river - our hearts jumping when we heard and felt the ice give way. Also loved fresh snow to track through - and discovery of mountain lion tracks up the Spread Creek area. Time for knitting, reading, and rest. Time with our families & our friends - A perfect beginning for this new year.

Awesome Weekend Getaway!~

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a long 4 day weekend and couldn't have asked for any better place! I was slightly leery at first because there aren't very many photos on the website, however, after talking with Tami, I felt very at ease about renting their cabin for our quiet romantic getaway. Upon arriving, I felt even better! Although rustic (which is what we prefer anyway), the cabin is very clean, completely stocked with whatever you may (or may not!) need, and larger than we anticipated. It could very well house 2-3 couples with a couple of kids. We spent the weekend exploring the valley and entranced with the beauty of it all. Even relaxing on the deck enjoying the river was completely worth the trip. Although I hesitate to have more people rent this cabin (because we will be back!), you won't be disappointed in this beautiful place. Thanks again Dave and Tami! We will be back!

Secluded and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed a week early July, and loved this place! The full, covered deck overlooking the Yaak River with the wonderful roar of the water--so peaceful! Well furnished, lovely furniture. Unique river rock décor. Exceptionally clean.

Fishing upstream was very productive.

We will return--probably for 2 weeks next time.

The Quintessential Montana Cabin---Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing place! I almost don't want to tell anyone how beautiful this cozy cabin is so we can keep it to ourselves! ;-) My husband and I had a fantastic, romantic weekend there just recently. Beautiful snow fall every day we were there (which was my hope!). We cooked every meal in their wonderful kitchen which is fully stocked (how I wish I had a gas stove at home!). Evenings spent with a fire roaring in the very nice wood stove. Tami has done such a great job of decorating--you immediately see there's a woman's touch to this cabin that has so much character. Loved the area--especially Yaak Falls just two miles away! This place is SO private and secluded! Can't wait to go back in the summer with our 12 yr old son! It has the perfect loft for him! Stop looking for a cabin and contact Dave and Tami! ;-) You won't regret it!
