Columbine 2107 / Ski-in Ski-out Condo! Hot Tub! 20 Feet to the slopes!

It just doesn`t get any more convenient than this condo at Columbine. Situated at the top of the hill overlooking the ski resort with SKI-IN/SKI-OUT access you are in the midst of all the activity during the day and perched on top of the world with INCREDIBLE views at night. This 3 bedroom, 3 bath unit was completely remodeled recently to include a fabulous kitchen and baths, slate flooring, new stainless appliances, new beds, and flat panel TV`s. Upon entering the unit you can`t help but feel warm and comfortable with the easy layout accommodating up to 7 people.

When you walk through the front door, you are in the open living room, dining room, and kitchen. This is the perfect area to enjoy the warmth of a wood burning fire after a big day of adventures. The kitchen has been remodeled and is well stocked for a big dinner, after which, you could gather around the large table for game night. 

Also on the main level are two bedrooms- a queen bedroom with in-suite bathroom and the kids room with a bunk bed and twin extra twin. The kids have their own full bathroom down the hall with walk in shower all to themselves. Up the winding staircase is the room with the great views! Here you'll find another queen bed and another full bathroom. There's few lines in this condo, since each bedroom can enjoy a designated place to get ready and clean up. 

 After a hard day on the slopes or a leisurely hike you can relax in the hot tub or grill out on one of the gas grills in the common area. Sitting in the OVERSIZED HOT TUB at night and overlooking the lights of the resort and town is one of the best ways to unwind and enjoy your Crested Butte vacation. With accommodations like this, you may never want to leave!

Mountain Access:
In the winter, walk just a few feet out your front door, snap into your skis, and glide down to the Red Lady or Silver Queen lifts. It`s beginner to intermediate terrain from the condo to the base area so having the kids ski down to ski school is no problem. In the summer, you've got the exact same access to the best mountain biking and hiking trails of Mt. Crested Butte. 

This property is also serviced by the new First Tracks free shuttle system. Click on the QR code in your welcome app and request a ride to the base area where you can ski or catch a shuttle down to town for shopping and dining. They come right to the property and it's FREE!

Quickly and easy access to the slopes and an overall nice unit. Good amenities and easy to get to. The host staff was easy to contact and responsive as well. Crested Butte is our favorite ski location, and this was a great find for lodging.

Great stay in Crested Butte!

We had a great stay! The location was spot on and the condo was clean and comfy. It was nice for my husband, older daughter and me to ski-in/out, but was a bit too steep for my little one (3) who was just learning. While there is a shuttle stop at the property, I wish there were a set of stairs to quickly access the base area amenities.

True ski in ski out

This is one of the only ski in ski out condos in crested butte! We literally walked out our door and skied down to the lift. It was especially convenient that we could all ski as much or as little as we wanted without having to wait on one another for hours every afternoon. We enjoyed our stay!

Perfect condo for enjoying the beautiful mountain. Very well appointed and plenty of extra comforts!

We had a great stay and minus the dirty windows (kids greasy finger prints all over as high as they could reach)..,it was perfect! Probably just an oversight, which is why we really didn’t mind cleaning it ourselves. Everything else was very clean and neat! Hope to rent again here!

Clean and on Mountain

Loved the property. A bit of miscommunication upon Chechen as the VRBO message and app did not have lock code even though it was titled Keys to your rental. A quick call to the property manager and this was easily corrected. We also had a bit of a problem with the temp at night. Just a bit too warm for us. No AC and we had the heat off. Other than those small things we did live the view, the kitchen, and the cleanliness. The place was roomy for a condo, well-appointed, and nicely decorated with a Colorado cabin feel.

Not as expected

The photos do not provide a realistic picture of where you're staying. This property is dated and much smaller than what photos showed. The master bedroom is accessed via a very shaky, unstable circular stairwell and is an open loft just over the kitchen (not ideal). Property Mngmt was unaccommodating when requesting an extra hour after a 10am check out ...when we paid for a full day (ie, check in at 4PM, check out at 10am and they were unwilling to budge). The cable was spotty and 70% of our time there, the TV would not work. Not happy at all with the property mngmt customer service.

True ski in/out with fab views

This condo is perfectly situated! Snap into your skis or board about 20 feet from the condo door, where you can also catch some great photos of the main Crested Butte mountain. Ski right down to two main lifts at the base. Inside, furnishings are comfortable and warm. Lots of seating in the living/TV area, with a huge coffee table perfect for games or puzzles and lots of seating in the kitchen, too. Kitchen very well-stocked with pots, pans, enough dishware, etc. Very homey mountain decor with an elk, deer and bear motif. Very clean! Three bedrooms with comfortable beds and extra towels and linens, each bedroom had a TV. Two bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms; the third has a bathroom accessible to the living areas. All three bathroom are full with showers, all remodeled very nicely. Stacked washer and dryer in upstairs closet--huge plus! The Columbine condos are among the oldest at Crested Butte, but the building has been well-maintained and the location is prime. The hot tub was also great. One note--there is a circular staircase from the top loft room to the lower floor. Just keep that in mind with young kids or older adults. We would definitely recommend this unit and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Location Location Location! To be able to ski DOWN to the lift is the best perk. Also, the views out of the living room windows are very nice. The only complaint, and this was big, was all the fireplaces in the condos. People USE those, and it's really hard to breathe because the smoke comes in the doors, vents, windows, or elsewhere. It got so bad on our last night, that we almost left to get down to some fresh air. It's hard enought to get acclimated to the altitude without wood burning smoke to take up what little oxygen is left. This sounds like a cranky rant, but I'm serious... this was a dangerous amount of smoke getting into the condo. I'm surprised the detectors didn't go off. I'm a fairly athletic guy, and I had tingling in my temples and felt like I was gonna pass out. On the other nights, it was just annoying and we all got stuffy noses with sleep difficulties (tenants make fires at all hours). In summary, it's a fabulous place, but the smoke really sucked.

Perfect ski home

We loved our long weekend at your charming condo. The location was perfect to be on the slopes quickly and ski in for a quick lunch mid day! The kitchen was amply stocked with all we needed, including spices and oil which were such a nice addition. Our teen said the upstairs bed was the most comfortable he has ever slept in!

Perfect for our family of 5. Had everything we needed and the views were beautiful. It was very convenient for skiing! And there is an hourly bus to the base area right there at the condos. From there you can catch a bus town town as well. Clean and comfortable and would definitely stay again.
