The perfect place to just layback, unwind and enjoy

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautifully furnished villa — truly the perfect place to relax and unwind. The spectacular ocean views were breathtaking, and having our own private infinity pool, along with access to two additional pools on the property and a beach bar, made the experience feel luxurious and effortless. Huatulco Vacations was great to work with. They addressed any small concerns we had promptly (and they really were small!). The property manager, Ricardo, and the entire villa staff were absolutely outstanding. A special mention goes to Merced, who provided daily cleaning service — she was not only efficient and friendly, but an absolute delight. She often went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and top-notch.The only two suggestions is perhaps an additional lounger on the deck (as the villa allows for 6 people and there are only 2 deck loungers) and for guests who are not able to walk the hilly paths to areas in the village a quicker response from the reception as to the length of time a cart would be available for transport. We would happily return and ecommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing, well-managed getaway with incredible views.

Details make the difference

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There's no question the view, the amenities and the climate are sensational. We felt the valet service was efficient, and everyone was extremely friendly. But we were disappointed in some basics. And when you pay that much for a rental, you do expect a certain standard. These homeowners would expect no less if they rented a home elsewhere. For Example: A. of the 3 hair dryers in the house, 2 were so cheap that the red plastic melted off in your hand when you used them, and the 3rd was broken. B. The temperature controls on the fridge are tricky, and made it impossible to keep food from freezing. All produce in the regular side of the fridge froze, we lost a lot of food. C. The daily attendant was there for 4 hours a day. This is our private vacation, and even after I asked twice about her hours, she continued to stay MUCH too long, lingered using her phone, and disappeared for long stretches before she was done. It should be like a hotel - she should come in, work quickly, do what's necessary and then leave us to enjoy our space. Also every day she left a wet load sitting in the washer, and a load that was only partially dry in the dryer. So for us to wash our clothing, I had to do the "house" laundry first, before I could do ours. This happened over 75% of the days were were there.D. This home had an induction stove, with the necessary pots and pans. But to clean these types of cast iron pans is very labour-intensive. And the heat control on these types of cook-tops is very poor. It made for a frustrating and time -consuming situation just to make food for my family.

Best view!

Photos do not do justice to the view (and the photos looked amazing). The sunrises were particularly stunning. The infinite pool was very awesome - not only to cool down, but to add to the view. There were 6 of us (3 couples) and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our third time staying at Montecito, however our first time in the fall. We typically visit in Feb/March to escape the Canadian winters.We stayed in one of the newer villa designs which faces La Bocana beach. Villa 18. These units are one level (vs 2 on most designs) - One Master bedroom facing the Ocean and 2 bedrooms in the back (different building separated by a courtyard). The 2nd and third bedrooms are a nice size however the bathrooms are very small... A design flaw in my opinion. Especially when you compare to other Villas all with full size ensuite bathrooms... Montecito is high end accommodations with amazing views - private pools - 2 shared pools and 2 restaurants. It is always very quiet and well taken care of. The Loma Lounge restaurant was closed for this trip as it was low season. Did not know that prior to arrival. We stayed in Villa 18 and there is construction all around this unit.... Beside and behind, including the road that leads to all the amenities. It will be beautiful when finished. Unfortunately they start work at 7:00am so don't plan on sleeping in until they are done, if you are renting soon. Montecito is about 15 min taxi ride to Crucecita and Santa Cruz so a bit isolated (which we personally like)... Marisol at the Cala Club is always great and friendly and tries her best with English and tries to teach us some Spanish as well... We love it here and when all the new villas are will be even better!

If Aesthetics Matter...

If aesthetics and style matter, and you appreciate a perfect melding of rustic and modern, then I don't know how you could find better. The pictures come close, but really don't do the place it's full justice. The view, the comfort of the beds/quality of linens, the cross-through breezes, the sound system, the conveniences of the surrounding resort/village - all made for a perfect stay. Check-in was easy (everyone on staff was so helpful), the restaurants on-site were fantastic, and the secluded beach with the mini-palapas to relax under made me never want to leave. We did tear ourselves away a few times into town, only a short (15 min) taxi ride - where we also discovered some great restaurants. (Go to La Crema downtown for the pizza and great atmosphere!) Also, don't miss the fish tacos at Los Gueros at La Bocana beach, a short 5 minute walk away... The guest casitas in the back are fantastic - the outdoor showers in each were amazing. Would not hesitate to stay in them again. The hosts/owners really have created something special here... so happy they've chosen to share it!

Breathtaking, unique, superb !!

The house is built on an amazing spot, is part of a unique comunity and has the most amazing details. I would love to move in forever as of yesterday. The house is comfortable, beautiful and complete. 3 Full bedrooms with private bathrooms. The master with oceanview, a private terrace, in and outdoor shower. The transition from the moment you enter is something you need to experience to understand the privacy and the beauty of the place. The house in general and the living areas are very comfortable and cosy. The kitchen is part the social area but a pantry with a big fridge and dishwasher is "behind the scenes". Everything is available to cook and serve food or drinks. We did not really know when the pool guy or the maid comes in, so just be aware of ask for times. They are very good staff. The view from the house has to be experienced, words are just words, live the emotion, on your feet or from the pool. Bocana beach is an amazing place for an early morning walk, you can go out through the back fence. The lagoon (estuary) is a great place to relax of for birdwatching, but spending a couple of hours with a coolbox is fun too. Montecito has 2 restaurants with pools, both with a unique and very different setting. I love Cala Club for breakfast or Loma Lounge for an afternoon cocktail. A private beach, gym, and reception area on site. If I would recommend ?? ABSOLUTELY !! If I would return ??ABSOLUTELY !!

The view is unrivaled even in Huatulco

You just can't beat this view... This villa is even more beautiful in person. The view from the main living area and infinity pool is unrivaled and worth an early morning start to see the sunrise and peaceful shoreline. We loved the overall design especially the playful elements like the hanging swing bar seats. The kitchen was fully stocked so we split out days cooking at home and enjoying a breakfast or dinner at one of the Montecito resort's restaurants. Montecito has a private bay with cabanas that we used a few times or we would walk to another near by bay and enjoy a long walk down the beach. Booking, check in and communication was easy and graceful. All in all, when we come back to Huatulco, we'll definitely stay here again.
