Lots of room!

We loved the fenced in yard for the dogs & children and we appreciated having lots of room in the house to spread out! The kids especially loved playing hide & go seek in the house;)

Large home with lots of room

Arrived just a bit early. Management responded promptly with the code to get in since it was ready. Check-in was easy and we found everything clean and welcoming. Communications from rental agency was usually prompt. Home had everything we needed and it was great to have 6 bedrooms and 3.5 baths since we had 6 adults and 6 young granddaughters. Enjoyed our stay and would rent again if we need a large place at the coast again.

Great place for large family. Excellent service.

Came here with mine and my wife’s family for our sons first birthday. The house is spectacular and loved the location. Close enough to walk to the beach, but not as crowded as Seaside or Cannon Beach. The rental company was very friendly and helpful with all our questions.

Fantastic for Family Gatherings

The house was perfect for our family over Thanksgiving weekend. There's plenty of space for everyone. The hot tub is a little dated but still very nice to have at the beach in winter months!

Lovely stay at the coast

The Gearhart home was perfect of our stay, which was to hold a small wedding ceremony with our family on the coast. The house was large enough to fit everyone and a great place to gather and enjoy each other's company.

Amazing

Great setting, arrived for a golf tournament at Gearhart and the location was awesome. The house was so comfortable! Everyone loved it and hope to come back

Annual family beach trip

100 year old house. Perfect for our family of 10 adults. The hot tub and sauna were used a lot. A short walk to the beach. Good view from the upstairs sitting room. The kitchen was well equipped. Two dining areas. Multiple sitting areas. Our family LOVED it.

Beautiful House!

A great place to stay! The highlights were: (1) the hot tub, (2) the sauna, (3) the fully stocked kitchen and (4) the fireplaces in the house. The beach is a short walk away.

Amazing stay

Fantastic location and under-represented pictures. The outdoor fireplace, the English pub inside and the charm of the house don't come through in the pics as well as they could. We had 9 people (2 families, 4 adults + 5 kids ages 15 to 7). All loved it. Great yard with plenty of space to play. Couple of things to note - bring your own firewood and paper plates/plasticware as there aren't a ton of dishes. Also, the grill is really small for a house that can sleep 12. We bought a Weber Grill to accommodate.

Elegant coast experience.

Old elegant building with plenty of room for multiple families to spend time together. Master bedroom is very nice. Two of the fireplaces have gas and created a very nice atmosphere. Sauna was a plus and worked well.

ad representation

nice house but we feel it was misreprensented. photos show the property as being on the waterfront with a pathway to the beach. it is actually on the hill and several blocks from the pathway and next to a main street. the ad also indicated it had accomodate 12 but we were informed that if we ever had more than 12 on the property at any time, the cops would be called in to enforce some municipal code about the 12 limit. intimidating to say the least . yes we did have 12 accommadating and staying on the property as stated and at times we had others who were accommadated elsewhere and were attending a memorial ceremony with us and we did not care about the municipal code . we paid good money for the house and we felt we had some rights as to how we entertained our friends. that said, we all had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our time there but i do think you might want to make sure your representation of the property is amended to show it's actual location, bruce dean

Hi Bruce, Maps are provided on our listing of location and this property is listed as "OCEAN VIEW" not ocean front. Feel free to let the city of Gearhart know your displeasure with the rules although I think is a mute point as the locals have put an auditorium on VRD's and permits are already being lost forever as homes are changing hands. Essentially the neighbors will tolerate use inside limits appropriate to parking and size of the house. Imagine if there were parties next door to where you live all the time keeping you up and blocking the streets.... Not a comfortable situation which is why there are rules. I would appreciate it if you would correct the pathway comment. as you only go 3 houses west before hitting the sand pathway rather than a couple blocks. However, you are correct that in Gearhart proper the open sandy beach is further from where the houses are then in say Seaside. One plus is that you can drive on the beach in Gearhart and that is nice when taking a bunch of food and toys to the sand for a day of play. Please call ahead to your property manager in the future to go over your needs and have staff help verify your property will meet expectations. House was amazing! Big enough for 11 of us to enjoy the week together!

House was clean. Rooms are spacious. Grounds are beautiful. We made use of it all. We hot tubbed, hit the sauna, watched a movie, and just relaxed. Plenty of room for all to gather for meals. My youngest to my oldest couldn’t stop saying how amazing the house was. When we come back to the Northwest coast, we know where we will stay. Thank you for a great, relaxing stay.

Wonderful stay for 10 young seniors

We are a group of friends who do the Astoria Bridge Walk every year and stay at a different rental property. This was by far the best with comfortable beds, bathrooms, and lots of room for setting, reading, and gathering. Loved the 4 fireplaces. Easy walk to the beach and so much more. We will book again next year.
